Remarks :

College is a bit strict. And also if they provide more opportunities for extracurricular activities it will be well and good. In case of academic activities and placements they stands always at the top.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Its a bit tough syllabus. And also within in less number of working days teachers has to rush through portions. Exams are okay but when it comes to valuation university takes it in a business way. There are many complaints filed due to inproper correction schemes.

Placement Experience :

There are a lot of placement opportunities. Many companies come over here for placements and also we have a placement cell for our college. There are no internship provided by college. But most of the students do their insternship approaching different companies.

College Events :

We have 1.Sports day 2.Technical Fest 3.Arts Fest Whole students are divided into 5 groups and all these fest are carried out on the basis of these groups. There will be a individual champion as well as a group with more point wins the cup every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

During admission we have to pay an amount of 1 lakh which is refundable and also 75000 tuition fee and an extra amount of 10000 which is said to be Special fees. This is expensive would suggest to reduce it.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

College provides scholarship for students who score full A grade in each end semester exams. An amount of 5000 is given to each of the student. Then each individual topper is given extra amount as scholarship. This actually motivates other students. For students who have 100% attendance in all subjects gets some kind of honour.

Campus Life :

Here college stands a bit backward. There are places for students to exhibit their talents as in sports or any other activities but opportunities provided are less. If they could allow more opportunities it will be a great respect showing towards them.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are well and good. We have a hostel mess. Rooms are all good and nice to accommodate. Each year has seperate wardens. Talking about the curfew all the students except 1st years should be in the hostel by 9 pm

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes. There is a alumini network and they are very helpful. Senior students and graduates helps their juniors and also they gives tips to encourage and built a responsible human. They are very helpful.

Admission :

First I applied for the seat through rajagiri portal. Then ranks were published on the basis of Engineering entrance score and +2 marks. After that there was a selection day and applicants below 1000 rank were asked to appear for that. Then rank wise each of the applicant was called and they got their respective branch.

Faculty :

Altogether they are good and sincere to their profession. They are well trained and bow our heads infront of them for their sincerity and willingness to help students. No one is partial to anyone I say this because this is the main issue in most of the colleges.

Placement Experience:

Yes,Students will get placement from 7th semester.Many companies like Infosys,Wipro,TCS etc come for placement.Most of the companies hire in bulk from the college.Lowest CTC was 300k annually and highest CTC was 1000k annually.Almost 60 percentage students are got placed from here.Apart from placement many students prepare for all india exams like GATE,SSC JE etc

Very Good University to study

Placement Experience:

The students from S6 are eligible for placement. Almost all the companies are IT-related companies. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Cognizant and UST visit the campus every year and hire a huge number of students. The average package is 4LPA with the highest being at almost 30LPA. Almost 60% of staff are getting placed. The CGPU provide training for aptitude and technical tests Also, some students get offers from good universities for higher education

Best college for pursuing engineering degree

Placement Experience:

Campus placements starts generally from the seventh semester in the fourth year. Nehru institutions have a lot of hold with multinational companies so a lot of companies like TCS, BPL, Amazon are offering placements to students who have no back papers. The highest package offered by companies is 9lakhs per year and the average salary is 4000/month. Mainly placements are offered to computer science engineering students comparatively.

Seeing St. Thomas through my eyes

Placement Experience:

The only student from the 4th year was eligible for campus placements. Every year nearly 88% of students got placed. Our batch was also not an exception. Most jobs were taken up by cse stream followed by our stream. Companies visited included Infosys, Cognizant Technology Solutions,ITC Infotech, Odessa Technologies, and others. The highest package of 5 lakhs was offered by Infosys.Cts offered 4 lakhs highest. The average package offered to all was 3 lakhs per annum.ITC offered 3.6 lakhs per annum. My plan after getting a degree was to join the job of CTS. Then I had dreams of an MBA in the future if possible since it would attract higher packages in the future. Many friends of mine got double offers. There were offers from. Sonodyne, Vodafone also. Since I got a job already,I didn't seat for Vodafone. Vodafone also offered a handsome package of 4 lakhs per annum.ZTE operations also took few students from our college

Remarks:

CET is one of the top colleges in the country. Faculties are the best. The college has the best placement records too. The location of the college is good too. Various fests are conducted to boost the cultural and technical skills of the students. I opted this course because I liked the course and our college contain the best faculties too. And the lab has good facilities where you can learn a lot.

Government College Of Engineering Kannur for a first year student

Remarks:

Has a good infrastructure with lots of trees and plants. Natural lighting is available so no need of artificial lighting Doesn't have an elevator. So it would be a problem for people in wheel chair. Less parking facilities
