Remarks :
College is great however the administration facility is a bust. We could use a better basketball court but that's only cause I play for the team here. We do face power cuts every now and then but it's pretty manageable really.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The grading system is relative and is broken down into lab assignments, mid term examinations and an end semester examination as well as surprise tests for a few subjects. The course is well upto date in today's growing technological advancements and I'm sure I will use this in future.
Placement Experience :
Yes. Our college is knows for a very high percentage of students getting placed from on-campus recruitments. Many companies come to visit and select students based on exams as well as interviews after selected rounds. This happens only in our third year for internships and final year for placements.
College Events :
The two main events are Engineer- a technical fest and Incident- a cultural fest. Incident is ranked in the top 5 of the best cultural fests in South India and I can confirm about its hype. Bands from abroad have also played during the fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
As a DASA student, the fee structure is different for me among my fellow peers. I have to pay 4000 USD per semester while the rest of the students really just pay a mere 80k INR. The hostel and mess bills are reasonable.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Scholarships are offered by the colleges for select students but I'm not sure of the constraints to it. As for loan facilities, I'm sure they do provide it but then again my knowledge of it is not great really.
Campus Life :
We have just installed a new sports complex and I must say it is very neat. The labs also are great. Our college is pretty decent at sports competitions. Among this we have clubs which really give us a boost in things other than just our curriculum knowledge.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel infrastructure is decent really. It's not the most luxurious rooms but we may paint our rooms as we like and make ourselves feel home. The mess food however is not something I really enjoy, however with Swiggy things are bearable really.
Alumni/Alumna :
I've not really talked to any Alumni's. But the seniors in college are quite helpful to an extent. May it come to borrowing notebooks or repeated assignments, or even just teaching us concepts, the senior students are very much helpful if you know the right ones.
Admission :
As an NRI student, I fall under the DASA quota which government colleges like mine have. We are required to write SAT-2 or SAT subject tests following which we have to get higher than a certain cut off which varies from branch to branch. The cut off changes annually with every new batch so there is no definite score.
Faculty :
Faculty is great at teaching skills however the administration lacks any organisation. The professors teaching at the college have a very good understanding of their subject and are able to properly explain to us what we ar learning.
