Remarks :

First of all this college infrastructure is good enough.More focus should be laid on sports as well as on the provision of new equipments in all the laboratories. The political side is also be prevented. The campus is ragging free. Lift facilities are available. The college is decent but with more care and support it has the capability to achieve greater heights

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is three years long divided into three years. Each year exam consists of two honours main papers as well as a practical exam. The exam for extra selected subjects takes place after the honours exam. The Pass subject exam are also taken along with the honours subject.

Placement Experience :

Placements opportunities are below average. Since the placement cell is newly formed, students are self-dependent for searching for jobs. However the teaching staff are helpful and use their contacts as well as ex-students for finding job opportunities. Thats all. The almuni and student Council told to start the placement wing on this year.

College Events :

All the events are celebrated gracefully. Holi, teacher's day and annual function are held every year.Students attend these events and have fun together. The principal is the chief organising person and hosts all sorts of functions in the college. Freshers welcome party is also given.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee depends on the subject taken and is feasible due to the government aid received. The needy students are given concessions in fees. Fees maybe paid annually, quarterly or monthly. Extra expense depends on the extra facilities opted for. Some expensive subjects are Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Computer Science, Geography etc. Those are self financial subjects.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarships are given to the deserving based on academic or non-academic performance. Economically disturbed students can avail for loans or concessions. The students union is quite helpful in this matter and personally helps the students.

Campus Life :

The labs are well equipped and well maintained. Sports activites are limited. Extra curricular activities like debate, sports day, recitation, etc are regularly organized. There may be inter- or intra- departmental competitions with prizes.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni are helpful and guide the freshers. An alumni meet is organised every year for the new batch to meet the alumni. All the alumni are well established with some even pursuing their PhD abroad like Oxford University, etc. They are very helpful. They can also suggest for placements.

Admission :

Candidates can apply to all the courses at Kalyani Mahavidyalaya offline, by obtaining the form from the college office. Candidates who have passed 10+2 with minimum required marks are eligible to apply for the B.A., B.Sc. and B. Com Honor's courses. I git my admission through merit lIst.

Faculty :

The faculty of the college is hard working and pretty supportive. Teaching staff works meticulously and takes care of all academic and non-academic aspect. Practical classes are also taken carefully and students are made to do practicals themselves. They are good friendly and helpful. They persue the studies in such interesting techniques and using of social media alsi.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for campus placements in the pre-final year of their course. A large number of companies visit our campus which includes Google, Microsoft, Samsung etc. The highest package offered was that of 1 crore while the average package is about 7-8 lakhs per annum. The placement is close to 100%. After getting a degree, I will sit for campus placements as well will apply offline to Academic Institutions.

Placement Experience:

In the UG courses, the placements start from the 6th semester, while for Ph.D. students, it is generally in their final year when they get eligible to appear for the placements. IIT Kharagpur has a very strong alumni network and generally, all the big shot companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Honeywell, Scheider, BCG, Barclays, and several PSUs visit for the placements. The average package is around 7-14 lakhs p.a. and the highest package of 1 crore is offered every year and almost 90-95% of students from the various programmes bags a placement. For Ph.D. students, generally, some core companies offer placements, while most of the students opt for becoming faculty in prestigious engineering colleges of the country. Although. after completing my curriculum, I will be joining a post-doctoral programme at a foreign university.

For PhD admission, there will be initial shortlisting based on B. Tech and M. Tech marks. Then candidates will be called for the written test. Shortlisted candidates will be allowed to sit in an interview. The final selection is based on academic records, written test marks, and interview performances.

Placement Experience:

Over 90% of students from BTech get jobs. The company list and their intake are given every year in the Institute website. Salary reaches above 1 cr INR. About 70% of MTech got the job. Few PhD also get the job in the college placement drive.
