I scored 79% in CBSE boards and 167 score in JEE mains, I wanted to stay in dehradun for my studies and based on suggestions from various people and my seniors I opted to study engineering in DIT.
Internships Opportunities :
I have undergone college internship with tata motors without any stipend., but I was exposed to complex work and got to learn alot. You have to go through internship only after 6th semester. My personal experience was very good as it was arranged by the college itself.
Placement Experience :
Placements and job opportunities are above satisfactory. HONDA MOTORS, LARSEN & TOUBRO, TATA MOTORS alongwith TCS ,WIPRO,INFOSYS, COGNIZANT are the regular companies. highest package offered this year was Rs15.6 LPA from honda and on average Rs 8.60 LPA for around 278 students who got placed.
College Events :
SUPRA event is the major event happened in which a team of DIT competed with other top engineering colleges of nation for building a car.There are also many other events and festivals keep happening inside the college campus. They are restricted to college itself ,means no other colleges are invited. DIT Fest for example which happens around nov-dec every year is the most happening event of the year in college where many competitions happen like robotics , gaming, coding and many celebrities come and gives amazing performances like Mika Singh, Arijit Singh, Hard Kaur, etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fees is divided into THREE structure- one is for All INDIA students (50% seats) second is for Uttarakhand State students (40% seats) and third is for NRI students (10%).Following are fees year wise (in rupees)All India student-1.68 lacs, 1.91 lacs, 1.86 lacs, 1.96 lacsUK state student-1.51 lacs, 1.64 lacs, 1.67 lacs, 1.65 lacsNRI student-2.40 lacs, 2.68 lacs, 2.68 lacs, 2.86 lacsin addition to above rs. 89000 for hostel fees for 10 months and rs.21000 for 10 months of transportation.
Exam Structure :
Exam time is very hectic, sessional exams, practical exams and then externals, its really tough to manage esp. if you are participating in other events of college. My advice for every one who wants to score good is to stay restricted only to exams and stu
