Remarks :

Good sports facilities. Our college is one among the best in our zone in each sporting game Any one of our college team wins our zonals and have greater achievements and many of our students have entered the university team.

Course Curriculum Overview :

KTU has just begun in 2015 and is helping in developing the students to be more competitive. At the end of each semester an end semester examination takes place and each branch of a particular year having 6 subjects in that semester with a minimum passing mark of 45 out of 100.

Placement Experience :

There are many companies coming for placements and our college have a lot of good industrial relationships and with the help of many international clubs like IEEE, ASME there are many internship and workshops being conducted in the college.

College Events :

Bharatham- It is an interhouse arts fest being held annually in the month of September. Abhiyanthriki- National level techfest being held biennially. Techkshetra - It is techfest held biennially at state level.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

College follows the CEE Norms. They collect a fees of ?85000. Tuition fees is ?75000 and ?10000 is a special fees for other extra courses. Tuition fees are common for private engineering colleges in Kerala.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are scholarships for students having KEAM rank of 2000 or less which is a good initiative from the management side. Also they provide education to Sc and ST students free of cost which provides a chance for students from the backward section to utilise the infrastructures provided by our college.

Campus Life :

There are great facilities for sporting activities and many labs are available with great infrastructure. Each lab is well maintained and periodically tested and defective ones are repaired accordingly.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are very good. They have rooms with attached bathrooms and rooms without attached bathroom. Mess facilities are well versed and there are separate timings for first years and seniors. It can accodomate about 400 to 500 inmates.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Our Alumni is of very great help and do comes occasionally to our college to know the growth of our college and to re-establish their relationship with teachers. They also sponsored our techfest which was indeed a great gesture. Our seniors are very helpful and never try to deny their juniors from anything.

Admission :

KEAM Allotment. On preparing the ranklist from our KEAM scores, a centralised allotment for all takes place and from our choices a college is alloted according to our rank. Our choices can be deleted or modified in the next allotment and on the basis of seats available and demand for that college we can guess our allotment.

Faculty :

Well versed with the subject they are teaching and lot of experience into this field.Each department has a head of the department and an associate head of the department. A course committee is conducted in every semester to understand the difficulties faced by the students.

Placement Experience:

Yes,Students will get placement from 7th semester.Many companies like Infosys,Wipro,TCS etc come for placement.Most of the companies hire in bulk from the college.Lowest CTC was 300k annually and highest CTC was 1000k annually.Almost 60 percentage students are got placed from here.Apart from placement many students prepare for all india exams like GATE,SSC JE etc

Very Good University to study

Placement Experience:

The students from S6 are eligible for placement. Almost all the companies are IT-related companies. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Cognizant and UST visit the campus every year and hire a huge number of students. The average package is 4LPA with the highest being at almost 30LPA. Almost 60% of staff are getting placed. The CGPU provide training for aptitude and technical tests Also, some students get offers from good universities for higher education

Best college for pursuing engineering degree

Placement Experience:

Campus placements starts generally from the seventh semester in the fourth year. Nehru institutions have a lot of hold with multinational companies so a lot of companies like TCS, BPL, Amazon are offering placements to students who have no back papers. The highest package offered by companies is 9lakhs per year and the average salary is 4000/month. Mainly placements are offered to computer science engineering students comparatively.

Seeing St. Thomas through my eyes

Placement Experience:

The only student from the 4th year was eligible for campus placements. Every year nearly 88% of students got placed. Our batch was also not an exception. Most jobs were taken up by cse stream followed by our stream. Companies visited included Infosys, Cognizant Technology Solutions,ITC Infotech, Odessa Technologies, and others. The highest package of 5 lakhs was offered by Infosys.Cts offered 4 lakhs highest. The average package offered to all was 3 lakhs per annum.ITC offered 3.6 lakhs per annum. My plan after getting a degree was to join the job of CTS. Then I had dreams of an MBA in the future if possible since it would attract higher packages in the future. Many friends of mine got double offers. There were offers from. Sonodyne, Vodafone also. Since I got a job already,I didn't seat for Vodafone. Vodafone also offered a handsome package of 4 lakhs per annum.ZTE operations also took few students from our college

Remarks:

CET is one of the top colleges in the country. Faculties are the best. The college has the best placement records too. The location of the college is good too. Various fests are conducted to boost the cultural and technical skills of the students. I opted this course because I liked the course and our college contain the best faculties too. And the lab has good facilities where you can learn a lot.

Government College Of Engineering Kannur for a first year student

Remarks:

Has a good infrastructure with lots of trees and plants. Natural lighting is available so no need of artificial lighting Doesn't have an elevator. So it would be a problem for people in wheel chair. Less parking facilities
