Remarks :

The campus is very good but the studies and syllabus is very hard. Strict rules are fully present in the college which is not needed. More time in class hours in rajagiri which is very tiring. High prices for everything in college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

A little hectic and difficult to cope up every subject and the exam structure is a little too complicated for students. It is of course well structured but KTU syllabus and exam timetable is not appropriately structured and easy for all students.

Placement Experience :

Core placements are very less and some IT companies are all that come. No, they don't provide internship. Many companies in overall usually comes and provides large number of jobs. Most of them are from nearby small companies.

College Events :

The events celebrated are onam, christmas, tech fest, arts festival, Jesus youth, various sports events and tournaments of football, cricket, basketball etc. Freshers day, hostel day, science fairs, seminars etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is very expensive. There are many fees excluding tuition fees that are being charged. Then there are exam fees and exam semester registration fees which is to be paid everytime. There are many reservations for sc, st which is not appropriate now.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are many scholarships for mechanical engineering students like ndt, and abroad university scholarships. But they are not easy to get and is limited to very few people. The toppers of each class gets to attend a program abroad.

Campus Life :

They are very good. The labs are of latest technologies and latest models. The college very active in sports and is the champions for various sports in the university level. Many other extracurricular activities are also present.

Hostel Facilities :

No, I'm a day scholar. But the hostel infrastructure is magnificent with high facilities and technologies. But the site is dangerous for students as it is nearby river side containing polluted waters and a factory.

External Expense : Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes they are every helpful. They help us juniors with everything and arranges alumni get together frequently. No ragging takes place in the campus and the seniors are very much helpful in academics to the juniors.

Admission :

I wrote KEAM exam and with my result, i had got admission. Then I selected mechanical engineering and got the seat via Christian quota in Rajagiri. Then i had to pay the donation fees and hence got the admission.

Faculty :

They are very kind and helpful. All are very well educated and have high knowledge background. They help us in all manners and does not hesitate to clear all our doubts. They are well determined and optimistic.

Placement Experience:

Yes,Students will get placement from 7th semester.Many companies like Infosys,Wipro,TCS etc come for placement.Most of the companies hire in bulk from the college.Lowest CTC was 300k annually and highest CTC was 1000k annually.Almost 60 percentage students are got placed from here.Apart from placement many students prepare for all india exams like GATE,SSC JE etc

Very Good University to study

Placement Experience:

The students from S6 are eligible for placement. Almost all the companies are IT-related companies. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Cognizant and UST visit the campus every year and hire a huge number of students. The average package is 4LPA with the highest being at almost 30LPA. Almost 60% of staff are getting placed. The CGPU provide training for aptitude and technical tests Also, some students get offers from good universities for higher education

Best college for pursuing engineering degree

Placement Experience:

Campus placements starts generally from the seventh semester in the fourth year. Nehru institutions have a lot of hold with multinational companies so a lot of companies like TCS, BPL, Amazon are offering placements to students who have no back papers. The highest package offered by companies is 9lakhs per year and the average salary is 4000/month. Mainly placements are offered to computer science engineering students comparatively.

Seeing St. Thomas through my eyes

Placement Experience:

The only student from the 4th year was eligible for campus placements. Every year nearly 88% of students got placed. Our batch was also not an exception. Most jobs were taken up by cse stream followed by our stream. Companies visited included Infosys, Cognizant Technology Solutions,ITC Infotech, Odessa Technologies, and others. The highest package of 5 lakhs was offered by Infosys.Cts offered 4 lakhs highest. The average package offered to all was 3 lakhs per annum.ITC offered 3.6 lakhs per annum. My plan after getting a degree was to join the job of CTS. Then I had dreams of an MBA in the future if possible since it would attract higher packages in the future. Many friends of mine got double offers. There were offers from. Sonodyne, Vodafone also. Since I got a job already,I didn't seat for Vodafone. Vodafone also offered a handsome package of 4 lakhs per annum.ZTE operations also took few students from our college

Remarks:

CET is one of the top colleges in the country. Faculties are the best. The college has the best placement records too. The location of the college is good too. Various fests are conducted to boost the cultural and technical skills of the students. I opted this course because I liked the course and our college contain the best faculties too. And the lab has good facilities where you can learn a lot.

Government College Of Engineering Kannur for a first year student

Remarks:

Has a good infrastructure with lots of trees and plants. Natural lighting is available so no need of artificial lighting Doesn't have an elevator. So it would be a problem for people in wheel chair. Less parking facilities
