Yes several companies coming to KIIT offer decent internship opportunities in their third year. However, these companies have rigid criteria and screening processes.

As for the PPO, it completely depends on how well you have performed during your internship and is the quality of work you delivered was at par with the needs of the company. Very few companies offer PPOs beforehand.

Companies like Standard Chartered, HSBC, MuSigma, L&T Infotech, and Mass Recruiters like Accenture, Capgemini, Wipro, etc. offer full-time job opportunities.

It’s important to note that every recruiter has its own unique criteria for selection. For instance, Amazon conducts a test and interview but Dell selects the students on the basis of CGPA. A good placement preparation will take you a long way as the opportunities offered here are in abundance. Try to maintain a good CGPA and if you are in CS/IT, work on your coding skills. Don’t forget to give time to extracurricular activities also.

So it’s better to track the companies visiting around the summer break!

One of my cousins graduated from KIIT. According to him, there are some things you should know about KIIT’s placement methods. Let me share some of them:

  • The companies will start surging in from your 6th semester as at the end of the 3rd year.
  • Most of them offer an internship to students which might later convert into a PPO, based on your performance during the internship.
  • Some companies like Mu Sigma, Reliance, ITC offer full time work, right from the start.
  • My cousin is currently in the 8th semester and she too did an internship.
  • Companies that offer internship cum PPO (Performance-based) are VMware, Amazon, Highradius, Lavelle network, Autodesk, Hindustan Unilever, Ericsson, Quikr, HP, HCL, etc.
  • Companies that offer full-time with mandatory internships are Deloitte, PWC, KPMG, Optum, Novartis, Incture, Odessa, Accenture, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant, IBM, etc.

If you get an internship in the 3rd year itself and you are enjoying working there, then you should give it your 100%. Many people don't get full-time offers and by the time their internship ends, it becomes the end of the placement season.

KIIT won't allow you to sit for any other companies once you get placed until and unless the package is 1.5 times more than your current package or if it is a premier company.
