VNIT Nagpur is a well known engineering college of India, with good infrastructure and placements. The Computer Science department is one of the best in the college.

The placements are good, but it mostly depends on your skillset. The highest package goes beyond 16 LPA. Most of the faculty members are Phd. holders, and have studied from prestigious institutes like University of Baltimore and University of Missouri. Having had a rich academic background, the teachers will offer you with valuable insights on this field. The average package touches 7 LPA and beyond, and companies like Morgan Stanley and Ittiam Systems hire students from the CSE department.

Overall, CSE in VNIT Nagpur is a good option.

As a 2nd year B.Tech CS student at VNIT Nagpur, I’ll be sharing my limited knowledge of my course and department-

Faculty- The B.Tech CS faculty consists of dedicated, qualified, and experienced teachers. They have completed their M.Tech/Phd. from renowned institutes like IIT Bombay. You’ll have a great time learning from them.

Curriculum- The B.Tech CS curriculum at VNIT is at par with top IITs and NITs. The prescribed course books are written by experts of Computer Science from across the globe. The CSE curriculum combines theoretical concepts and real world application.

Labs- The lab facilities are top notch, and you’ll be encouraged to spend more time in the labs. M.Tech and Phd. students will guide you during lab hours.

Internships- Many students go for internships post second year, in IITB or some reputed firm. During internship, you'll get direct industry experience.

Placements- B.Tech CS witnesses the best placement records at VNIT. Companies like Amazon, Morgan Stanely, Goldman Sachs, Snapdeal, etc. recruit B.Tech CS students from the campus, at good packages. The placement graph is only improving with each year.
