There are a plethora of parameters based on which one can decide which college is better than the other. But at the same time, your choices and your priorities also matter to decide which college you will opt for. You might not get all the fulfillments in the college checklist but you can set your priorities. Coming onto the question, if you are willing to decide among CGC Landran and CCET Chandigarh, you are comparing two very different colleges.

The placement stats of CGC Landran is way better than CCET Chandigarh. 

If you want the stamp of Panjab University on your degree, then you can opt for CCET Chandigarh. Although, CCET will not provide you with any extra benefits/royalties like Panjab University. Instead of CCET, UIET is a better choice. 

From the study point of view, there is not much difference between these two colleges. 

MNNIT Allahabad is good for opting for CSE. If you get admission at MNNIT Allahabad, then join it without a doubt.

1. Placement: MNNIT Allahabad has a good placement record. Mostly all students get placed. There is almost 95-97% placement in MNNIT CSE. All branches have 65% placement and there are plenty of job offers for everyone. 
2. Labs: MNNIT Allahabad Computer Science labs are good.
3. Coding: The coding and programming culture of MNNIT Allahabad is good. 
4. College Life: College life is good here. There is a good climate here in rainy seasons, that you will enjoy. 

Therefore, you can join the MNNIT Allahabad CSE program without any second thought. As labs, placement of the CSE program is good in MNNIT Allahabad.

There will be a handful of seats available for branch change and branch modifications do not only occur when you fill in a form. You will have other brilliant and ambitious students to compete with. 

Choosing the right branch:

If you are facing trouble choosing the right branch, you should remember the following things.

• Don’t opt for a branch just because of the higher CTC, or college brand name, etc. Because the degree you will get is for life. So, make sure you are interested to work in the field that you are choosing. 
• Also, go through the syllabus given on the official website and see if you can do the coursework for the branch of your choosing.

Kalyani is an IT hub and it is not far from Kolkata. On the other hand, it will take you twelve hours to reach Jalpaiguri from Kolkata by train. It goes without saying that CSE of Kalyani Government Engineering College is better and obviously more preferred to that of Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College.

KGEC is the more sought after institute because it attracts the better-ranked students. Most of the students whose ranks are under 3000 are from Kolkata, Hooghly, North 24 and South 24 Parganas regions. The faculty and infrastructure of both institutions are also pretty much similar.

Other than these, the placements in CSE in both colleges are almost the same and much higher than Heritage and/or IEM.

Galgotias University is definitely a better choice for a BTech degree in CSE. I have friends at both Galgotias and Amity. Based on what I heard about the CSE department at these campuses, it is suggested to choose Galgotias. 

• Amity is quite costly and the quality of education is not on the same level as Galgotias. If you want a good college life and you can afford the hefty fee, go for Amity. 
• Galgotias on the other hand stresses a lot on academics. There are many extra-curricular activities on campus that will help you in improving your overall personality. It also offers an exciting campus life. 
• For CSE, Galgotias has maintained a good placement record over the years. It has tie-ups with many reputed IT companies that work in favor at the time of placements.

So, quality of education, placement statistics all these factors tips the balance in the favor of Galgotias University.

There are few differences between the CSE and the IT branch in MNNIT in Allahabad. One of my friends studies at MNNIT, so I can give you the basic difference between these two branches.

1. Academically: 5th and 8th Semester subjects of CSE and IT branch are different. 
2. Learning: There is not much difference on the learning basis. Core subjects are the same in both departments. In both departments, you will learn through self-study. 
3. Placements: There is no difference in placement of CSE and IT branches. Several companies come for placement for both departments, giving you several opportunities. 

The recruiting companies are more or less the same that offer both CSE and IT. The list includes - Microsoft, Google, Accenture, Oracle, PWC, Capgemini, Byju’s, Jaro Education, Adobe, Goldman Sachs, etc.

There is only a slight difference between both departments. Both the departments of MNNIT Allahabad are almost the same on the basis of learning, placement. So, if you want to join MNNIT Allahabad CSE or IT branch then go for it.
