Jadavpur University PhD Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the below-mentioned criteria to get admission into Jadavpur University PhD Program
- All candidates must have earned at least 55% of the possible points in their two-year MA or equivalent degree from any university or institution approved by the UGC
- According to decisions made periodically by the UGC, AICTE, and State Government, applicants who belong to SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), differently-abled, and other categories may be eligible for a 5% mark relaxation, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent grade relaxation.
- Candidates with less than two (2) years of MA or equivalent degree must have completed at least five (5) years of undergraduate and graduate coursework at an accredited university or institution.
Jadavpur University PhD Documents Required
Candidates must submit the following document at the time of submitting the online application:
- A single, current passport-sized photo.
- All mark sheets and certifications, as well as the Madhyamik admission card and certificate, should be attested.
- SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PD/EWS certificate, if applicable, for age verification.
- If any, a NET/SET/GATE certificate.
- Following the online payment, the SBI server sent the online payment receipt for download.
- Aadhar card copy.

- Include the receipt with the application.
- The Ph.D. Cell, Arts office, Subarna Jayanti Bhavan, ground floor, Jadavpur University Main campus, Kolkata 700032, is where the application should be sent.
The university website will provide notice soon regarding the date of the WRET exam and the PRC meeting for the interview. An applicant will not be considered for admission if they are found to have been accepted into another Ph.D. program at this university or elsewhere during the admissions process.
