Lateral Entry Admissions: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE)
Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), in Karnataka, allows lateral admissions for UG design programmes. Candidates must have earned a 10+3-year fashion design diploma from an accredited institution to be eligible for lateral entrance exam.
Lateral Entry Admissions: Pearl Academy
Aspirants enrolled in related courses at other creative design institutions or universities may submit an application for lateral admission to Pearl Academy through the Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) or the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) entry.
Before registering under the APL category, the aspirants must get in touch with a career advisor via the official Pearl website. Candidates will be evaluated by the Pearl APL Admission Panel. When they get shortlisted, the academy officials contact the students directly to schedule a lateral admissions interview.

The second-placed World University of Design (WUD) is among the Top 10 Private Universities. Students who wish to apply for lateral admission into pertinent courses in the second or third year must provide information about their diploma. In order to get into these universities, one must be proficient in sketching, drawing, and other design exam subjects.
Lateral Entry Admissions: United World Institute of Design (UID)
UID offers lateral admissions, which are granted based on choice-cum-merit and are contingent on the availability of seats. It is one of Karnavati University's constituent colleges. Candidates must submit an application in writing in the format required and pay the required fee. The evaluation of student portfolios for specific B.des semesters is used to determine admission.
