IIT Jodhpur Launches MDes Program in XR Design, Admission to be Based on CEED 2023 Scores

IIT Jodhpur Will Offer Admission to MDes Program through CEED 2023 Scores; Check Details Here

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur has recently launched Masters in Design (MDes) in XR Design program for the academic year 2023-24. Interested candidates can apply for admission by submitting their applications at iitj.ac.in.

As per IIT Jodhpur, the last date to apply for admission for self-sponsored seat candidates is May 14 and the last date to apply for institute-sponsored seats is May 21, 2023. Admission to this course will be done on the basis of CEED 2023 scores and passing grades in the qualifying exam.

To be eligible for IIT Jodhpur MDes Admission 2023, candidates need to have a bachelor's degree in design/engineering or any other equivalent qualifications from a recognised university. Those who do not meet the criteria will not be considered for admission.

Informing about the newly launched program, Professor Santanu Chaudhury, Director of IIT Jodhpur said, "XR Design is a response to the growing demand for designers who can create immersive experiences that go beyond the limitations of traditional modes".

"The Masters in Design (MDes) in XR Design program will equip graduates with the skills they need to create meaningful and engaging experiences that will change how we interact online," he further added.

Earlier, IIT Jodhpur joined the list of participating institutes of CEED 2023. Following this, the institute will now offer admission to its MDes program based on marks secured in the CEED 2023 Exam from the academic session 2023-24.

As per the notification released by IIT Bombay on CEED 2023 portal, candidates who wish to apply for MDes admissions at IIT Jodhpur will now have to qualify for the Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED 2023).

For the 2023 session, the design entrance examination (CEED 2023) was held on January 22, 2023 for all registered candidates. The result for the same was announced on March 07, 2023 on the official CEED 2023 admission portal at ceed.iitb.ac.in.

CEED 2023 is conducted by IIT Bombay on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The exam is held to shortlist candidates for admission to MDes and PhD programs in design at CEED-participating institutes.

As of now, the institutes which accepted CEED scores for the MDes program are IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee and IIT Jodhpur. For more details about the exam, visit the official website at ceed.iitb.ac.in.
