Being a HOD of your Department, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

Being the HOD of the CSE department, my responsibility is to improve student academics and motivate them to participate in extracurricular activities organized by the department from time to time. Other roles and responsibilities include recruiting efficient teachers and staff, promoting personalized learning, improving teaching effectiveness, student retention, and parent support.

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects and how students get practical experience from studying the subject?

Academic programs and curricula in our institute have become much more than a general course of study. In our institute, industries participate in curriculum design and delivery to prepare the students for employment. This will bridge the gap between industry and institutions and enable the students to become industry-ready. This will also reduce the time, effort, and resources spent on the students at industries before they take up the real projects.

What are the best practices offered by the department to the students which help them gain necessary skills?

The department's aim is not to provide bookish knowledge but rather skill-based knowledge. Every individual is unique, with different IQ levels. Some students have the capability of grasping quickly and memorizing for a long time. Others have less picking capacity. Weak students or slow learners require extra attention. Punishing a weak student won’t provide the necessary solution. Individual teaching can help in this regard.

How do you help your student to cope up with the competition being so high in the outside world?

Students are providing the latest infrastructure and technologies so that they are in touch with recent developments in science and technology. They occasionally attend student development programs organized by AICTE and other reputed institutions. The institute can arrange guest lectures and industry speakers in the department to enhance the students' knowledge.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relationship and environment in your University?

We need to believe in ourselves, our students, and management that we can overcome any difficulties that arise during our course of action at the institute. This collective belief not only empowers us to tackle challenges but also strengthens our sense of unity and purpose within the institute. It fosters an environment of support where mutual trust and determination drive us forward. With this shared conviction, we can confidently embrace every obstacle as an opportunity for growth and progress, ultimately shaping a brighter future for ourselves and our institution.

What do you see as the department’s greatest strengths ?

The department boasts excellent infrastructure, including computer centers and well-equipped laboratories, creating an ideal learning environment for students. Additionally, the faculty members bring a wealth of experience to the table, ensuring that students receive high-quality education and guidance.

Furthermore, the department's strong alumni association plays a vital role in sharing its vision and collaborating with partners, fostering a sense of community and support for both current and former students.

Moreover, the department's valuable connections with industry and institutions provide students with valuable opportunities to develop real-world skills and become industry-ready professionals.

What valuable advice would you like to the students for them to have a prosperous career ahead?

Some of my valuable suggestions for youth students are as follows-

Education is your biggest asset, treat it with respect.

Our best friend is our self-esteem.

You can also be wrong, nothing wrong in that, accept it and correct it, don't take it in your ego.

Lose everything in life, just don't lose hope.

A hobby acts as a spine in your life, it keeps you going. Last but not the least, think before you act.
