Mr. Suresh Madiraju is the CEO of the IACG Multimedia College. With 24 years of experience under his belt, he has worked in multimedia and the arts in industry and academia. He is a gold medalist from Sri Krishna Devaraya University and has seen the evolution and changes in the industry. In his present role, he has not only contributed to the fast-paced growth of the industry but has also catered to the needs of the industry by implementing novel ideologies. He believes in the philosophy of “Success is not predefined but is definitely scheduled by one’s virtue.”
What is the vision and mission of IACG Multimedia in terms of providing education and preparing students for the future?
IACG Multimedia College’s vision is to pilot and promote various forms of multimedia by providing eminent learning to every creative aspirant and to grow along with the ever-changing artistic and technological progression. Additionally, our mission is for IACG endeavour to be a creative knowledge hub where the development and delivery of industry-ready professionals will be the ultimate motto. What steps have you taken to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship among students?
We understand that in this era of innovation and technological advancement, every student has a pre-built capacity to be an entrepreneur. We at IACG not only hone their innate creative skills but also train them to understand, harness and execute their expertise and stand out of the crowd. After gaining an education from our college, our students can work in any industry and role or start their own practice as well.
What are some valuable insights of the program that you are offering at your institute/dept.?
All our courses at IACG are designed to make students industry ready. The four and three-year graduation, two-year post-graduation and one and two-year diplomas are embedded with unique specializations. These specializations which a student chooses are crafted to help them reach their desired goal with a production-level experience.
How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?
The flagship programme, BA (Hons.) Multimedia is a four-year graduation programme, that focuses on imparting all the necessary inputs from various domains such as Animation, Gaming, VFX, Film Making, Art and Design, and Graphic Design. This makes the student an industry-ready professional by the end of the course. Our programmes also pave the way for further education abroad.

How did you train yourself/faculty to deliver this program to the students?
At IACG, we ensure all the time that, our experienced faculty members are being supported with the input of the latest trends and technological advancements in the industry. Our faculty members attend various seminars, workshops and events such as IGDC, VFX Summit, etc to keep up with the market. They network and also have years of industry experience they bring to the table.
How do you tend to build an industry connect with this program?
Our curriculum supports all the vital segments of multimedia such as animation, VFX, gaming, filmmaking, graphic designing and art and design. With the help of input from these various specializations, a student can be ready to showcase their talents in their respective fields. Although a student is trained thoroughly in one particular field, they can perform well in other allied areas as our academic curriculum is being designed in such a way.
Tell us an interesting fact or a trivia about your institute that is not known among general people?
We have been the pioneers in offering a four year graduation program since 2006 in association with the university under industry and university collaboration. We have had generations of students who have passed out of our college gates and gone on to become successful in their fields.
What do you find most difficult being a CEO?
The designation CEO is, undoubtedly, a boon for some and a bane for others. But here at IACG, as the CEO, it is a pleasure to work with highly motivated team members. We get to focus on their career growth coupled with individual growth as well.
Any insights or advice that you would like to give to the current youth or the aspiring students?
Focus more on your area of interest and try not to get distracted from the set goal. Try and try until you succeed with the help of more practice. Practice, practice and practice is the only way to hone one’s naïve skills and further become a super professional in this creative fraternity.
