How did you train yourself/faculty to deliver this program to the students?

Before delivering this program to our students I have to train myself and my faculty members also. My faculty members are always engaged in research work and they also receive training for this, guest lectures and workshops are also organized for our faculties so that they can learn new things and deliver that to the students. We often seek feedback from the students also. We also organize various faculty development programs and Industrial visits to understand practical working.


How do you tend to build an industry connection with this program?

To build industry connections with this program we have close connections with neighbouring industries. We also organize job training and internship programs. We have collaborated with many Industries to create internship opportunities for our students. Workshops are organized so that students can gather practical knowledge about industries.


What were the challenges that you faced while inculcating this program in your curriculum?

Designing a curriculum is a challenging task. We have to design a curriculum which is up-to-date and can align with the industry’s trends. There are a few challenges which we faced while inculcating this program in our curriculum like challenges in the availability of subject matter experts, lack of export- oriented industries in surroundings and distance from major ports for practical training.

Projects that are given to the foreign trade students include marketing strategies brand loyalty and practical awareness about port operations and export-oriented industries.
