Dr. C. John Wesley is currently working as the Controller of Examinations, Deputy Registrar and Professor at Sam Higginbottom University of Agricultural Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj. He has over 19 years of experience in the education industry. He completed his B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering from Allahabad Agriculture Institute in 2002. He has a Master’s in Irrigation and Drainage Engineering from AAI-DU and then has completed his Ph.D. He has been a with SHUATS, Prayagraj for over 19 years now and has 26 published papers on research gate and numerous other contributions.

The education sector feels like a vast realm of endless opportunities that constantly ignites my passion. What truly captivates me are those moments when I see a student's eyes light up with understanding - those 'aha' moments that signify a breakthrough. It's indescribable, knowing I play a part in their journey toward growth and discovery. Moreover, the ever-evolving nature of education keeps me invested. Embracing new teaching methods, integrating technology, and discovering innovative ways to educate keep things intellectually stimulating. Being able to contribute to shaping the minds of tomorrow's leaders and preparing them for the challenges ahead is a profound motivator for me.

What is your philosophy on leadership? 

My philosophy of leadership centers on empowerment, empathy, and vision. I believe a leader's primary role is not just to give instructions but to empower others. True leadership creates an environment where everyone feels valued, motivated, and empowered to give their best. Additionally, a leader should embody a clear vision and inspire others to unite around it. Sharing a compelling vision provides direction and purpose, motivating the team toward common goals. A good leader is also adaptable, open to feedback, and committed to learning, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
