Ms. S. Lalitha is currently working as the HOD of EEE at Kommuri Pratap Reddy Institute of Technology, Hyderabad . She holds an M.Tech Degree from SRM University and B Tech degree from JNTU University. In addition to that, her work experience includes working as an assistant professor for 2 years at Sree Vidyanikethan Engg. College, Tirupati.

She has been a bright student and has received many Certificates and gold medals during her graduation and post-graduation. Her areas of research interest lie on renewable energy sources, Grid integrated Multi-level inverters, designing of controllers. She has attended various seminars, workshops and faculty development programs.


Ms. S. Lalitha’s experience in the education industry

It gives more satisfaction in building up one’s career effectively with more values which is only possible in the education industry. You can constantly learn new skills throughout in this profession.


Significant challenges faced by Ms. S. Lalitha as the HOD-EEE of Kommuri Pratap Reddy

The biggest challenge is to keep students updated with the industry requirements as we are not bound to update it as we like, but by according to the need of the industry we try to inculcate experts from industry & guide the students.


Our curriculum encourage problem solving skills

The main focus of our curriculum is to impart technical knowledge and to promote problem solving skills, innovation of new technologies. We periodically update our course contents for introducing new scientific and technological developments required for an industry.


Goals in mind for the institute

To establish research development cell for EEE and to encourage students to interact more with research scholars for developing innovative ideas and to encouraged to undertake various research projects.

By providing necessary technical skills and by adopting outcome based on education in the curriculum, outcomes that encompass knowledge, skills and attitude, which linked to national goals for education and positive participation of society.


Ms. S. Lalitha thoughts on building an ideal school environment

By enhancing self-esteem, developing proper communication between home and college, display respect vision and mission of department in classrooms and all around the college. Involve the pupils in development of new ideas, Model respectful behavior to all the members from college community at all times.


Building a relation with the students

With the help of proper mentor and mentee system, it is possible to discuss with the student about his/her career academically and personally thereby making it easy to implement necessary modifications/improvements required for their growth.

By participating in conferences, seminars & workshops, students can interact with experts which will in turn help them in developing innovative ideas to undertake research.

A leader should be transparent and he / she must spend time with the people under him/her. I myself inculcate these qualities and try my best to give & take respect.
