The Faculty of Commerce of Allahabad University has launched a unique five-year integrated BBA-MBA course helping students to explore management insights from ancient texts such as Bhagwat Gita.

New Delhi: Allahabad University (AU) has introduced a five-year integrated BBA-MBA course starting from the academic session 2023-24.

The Faculty of Commerce at Allahabad University is offering this BBA and MBA courses, where students will have the opportunity to study management principles inspired by Lord Krishna's teachings from the Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana, Upanishads, and those of Chanakya.

In addition to exploring the management lessons from Lord Krishna, the MBA students will also gain insights into the strategic decisions of renowned industrialists such as JRD Tata, Azim Premji, Dhirubhai Ambani, Narayana Murthy, Sunil Mittal, and Birla in this course for the first time.

According to the latest reports, the curriculum also includes the study of Ashtanga Yoga, aiming to equip students with the ability to stay composed in challenging situations.

The Allahabad University's faculty has initiated the course with 26 students, with 10 semesters, which will be for a total of 220 credits. The program incorporates a multiple entry-exit system, enabling students to receive a one-year certificate upon leaving in the first year, a diploma in the second year, a BBA degree in the third year, and an MBA degree in the fifth year.

Shefali Nandan, the coordinator for the five-year BBA-MBA Integrated Course, mentioned that students will gain insights into Indian management thought and practices, integrating traditional studies with spirituality, cultural ethos, human values, Ashtanga Yoga, a holistic perspective of life, meditation, and stress management.

Furthermore, thr curriculum also includes Artificial Intelligence and Startup Management, the reports revealed.
