SNAP RC Tips

SNAP 2024 Reading Comprehension Tips

Today’s best long-term approach is to keep your attention and focus on the long passages. It can only be established with good practice. In addition to the areas you know, keep reading as much as you can to help improve your understanding. Read online newspapers, books, journals, and newspapers.

In addition, while practising, track your time to solve the RC and ensure that it is reduced on a regular basis. RCs are the only section in English that takes time, and a good reading pace is often an extra feature.

Emphasis on the opening and closing paragraphs: Most of the passages are short, but one or two of them may belong. Read the opening and closing paragraphs when there's a lack of time. The first and last paragraphs contain the basic concept of the passage.

Please use the context: Read at least two or three sentences before and after a particular line if a question appears in a particular line to understand what it is going to convey. This allows you to make the answer more accurate.

Enhance your vocabulary: Please try to strengthen your vocabulary. Building on your basic language skills is extremely necessary to become a wealthy reader. Continue reading the publication materials and mention the new words. Try to use them when you're talking.

SNAP English Preparation

SNAP 2024 General Tips for English preparation

  • The SNAP General English Segment is divided into two subcategories – verbal and reading skills. You've got a different approach to these. While SNAP readability planning is a long-term strategy, verbal capacity can be built in the short term. Let's look at two of them and don't take a look at this place.
  • Begin reading the news and the books early in the morning. Devote a minimum of one hour to reading every day. Take note of your foreign words and phrases when you read them, and see their meaning and root immediately in the dictionary. Not only is going to this practice help you increase your reading habit, but it is going to also help to enrich your vocabulary.
  • You'll sail through the Verbal section with a few reviews and practical questions if your English grammar is good. If not, however, start your preparation for SNAP 2024 by studying the basics. Wren & Martin High School Grammar & Composition is the best book for that. Make brief notes with explanations and check the meanings of all grammatical words every two days.
  • Read Word Power Made Simple by Norman Lewis to improve your vocabulary. You need to learn the meaning, use, and root of English words. There are many words in English that change their meaning in different contexts. SNAP 2024 may also raise these concerns. If the definition is simple, you won't be struggling with confusing questions.
  • Break down the terms to understand its roots. Prescient (pre-scient) means, for example, obtaining or displaying knowledge of events before they take place. The prefix 'pre' means that the term refers to something similar to the previous event/action.
  • The RC passages are usually simple and factual, but you do need to read them quickly as time is limited. Train sample RC passages to improve the speed of reading. A number of SNAP mock tests are performed for problems with verbal abilities.
  • Do not read the replies first, and the RC is going to pass on later during the SNAP review. Read the RC pass and read the response options at normal speed. Oddly enough, you'll already know the wrong answer. All you need to do is remove the wrong options and choose the right/closest answer.
  • Don't waste too much time on these issues. There is no sectional time limit in SNAP so that you can always come back to those tricky questions later. Also, please be mindful of your choice of questions. You don't want negative markings to affect your ranking, so try the ones you're sure to respond to with full accuracy.
