NEET SS 2024 exam pattern is expected to be the same as like previous year. The question paper of NEET SS 2024 exam will have a total of 150 MCQs. The exam will be conducted by NBE in online CBT mode. It is a group-based examination and will have questions from only a broad specialty primary feeder. NEET SS 2024 question paper will be set in English language only.
According to NEET SS 2024 marking scheme, +4 marks are allotted for answering a question correctly. A deduction of -1 (25%) mark is applicable per incorrect attempts in NEET SS examination. All the 150 questions would be from the Curriculum of the Post Graduate Exit level of the primary feeder broad specialty subject. The time allotted for completing NEET SS 2024 paper is 2 hours and 30 minutes or 150 minutes. About 60% of questions were asked from super specialty and 40% of questions were asked from feeder broad specialty.

NEET SS 2024 Exam Pattern
The exam for NEET SS 2024 will be held in online mode. Aspirants will have to choose two super specialty courses as per the NEET SS 2024 pattern for which their broad specialty qualification is eligible. For each clubbed group/ super specialty course, there will be a separate question paper. The exam pattern of NEET SS 2024 is highlighted in the below table:

NEET SS 2024 Marking Scheme
The marking scheme of NEET SS 2024 is decided by NBE i.e., the National Board of Examination. Aspirants as per the marking scheme will be given +4 marks for every correct answer and -1 will be subtracted if the aspirant answers the question wrong. If any question is not attempted, no marks will be deducted.

NEET SS Clubbing 2024 Exam Pattern
The National Board of Examination (NBE) has established a collection of super-specialty courses that have fewer seats. The NEET superspeciality course joined together to have a single broad specialty feeder course. These cluster courses will be used as a single course during the NEET SS 2024 application process.
NEET SS 2024 exam pattern for those aspirants who have selected the super specialty courses that have been joined together. Organ Transplant Anesthesia and Critical Care, Cardiac Anesthesia, and Neonatal Anesthesia and Pediatric have been clubbed together. Anaesthesiology is the feeder broad specialty course for all these courses.
- Part A of the question paper will have questions from Anaesthesiology only.
- Part B of the question paper will have questions from Organ Transplant Anesthesia and Critical Care, Cardiac Anesthesia, and Neonatal Anesthesia and Pediatric.

The National Board of examination releases the syllabus of NEET SS 2024 on its official site. Before appearing for the exam, it is very essential for a candidate to go through the details of the NEET SS 2024 syllabus. - Aspirants in case go for a particular super specialty for a single feeder broad specialty course.
- Part A will be based on questions from only one broad specialty. For eg., MCh Urology, the Diplomate of the National Board in General Surgery/ Master of Surgery is the only feeder broad specialty, so Part A of the question paper on Urology will consist of questions from General Surgery.
- Super-specialty courses have a lot of feeder broad specialty courses. Part A will be based on the questions from all the eligible feeder broad specialty courses. For eg. For the super specialty courses, the eligible feeder broad specialties in Cardiology are Pediatrics, General medicine, and Respiratory Medicine.
- Therefore, Part A of the question paper on Cardiology will consist of questions from all three feeder broad specialty courses- Pediatrics, General Medicine, and Respiratory Medicine.
Part B Syllabus 2024:
NEET SS Part B Syllabus is given below:
- NEET SS Part B from the concerned super-specialty will consist of 60 questions.
- Part B will be questions from Super Specialty programs (PG Exit Level) and would consist of topics from basic science and clinical practice as applied to the given super specialty.
