IIMC 2024 admission will be done through CUET PG (Common University Entrance Test- PG) from 11th to 28th March 2024. The National Testting Agency (NTA) has released CUET PG 2024 application form for IIMC on December 26 2023. You will be able to fill up your form for CUET PG 2024 entrance examination till January 24, 2024. You will be able to download your respective admit card from cuet.nta.nic.in, from March 7, 2024. The Entrance Examination for the language courses - PG Diploma Courses in Journalism (Odia, Marathi, Malayalam and Urdu) - will be held separately.
As we have discussed about conducting of IIMC 2024 exam via CUET PG, let’s now be brief about the exam pattern. As per CUET PG 2024 exam pattern, the test will be held as Computer-based test (CBT) mode. The examination will be conducted in three shifts for admission into next academic session. A total 75 questions will be allotted, and you will get 105 minutes to complete the examination. The medium of question paper for CUET PG 2024 will be in English and Hindi except languages, M. Tech Higher Sciences and Acharya papers (except Hindu Studies, Baudha Dharshan and Indian Knowledge System).
Except for the M.Tech, language and Sahitya papers, you only have the option of taking CUET PG in English or Hindi (bilingual). You can choose maximum of four question paper codes. For every correct answer, +4 marks will be awarded, and zero for unattempted ones. However, there is also a negative marking of -1 for all incorrect answers.
A four years bachelor’s degree in from an accredited institution will be necessary for IIMC 2024 examination. General category students must be born on or after 1.8.1999, with the maximum age limit 25 years as of 1 August 2024. For OBC category students, the age limit is 28 years as on August 1, 2024. On the other hand, SC/ST/PwD students’ age limit must be 30 years.
CUET PG 2024 result for IIMC exam is expected to get declared in April 2024. All CUET PG 2024 qualified students will be required to register online on IIMC portal, https://iimc.admissions.nic.in for the counselling process. You will be able to check CUET PG 2024 cut off marks required for IIMC admission on the official website, after declaration of results. The cut off will however depend on certain factors, such as number of examinees appeared and qualified, test difficulty, number of seats available. IIMC Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria
IIMC 2024 exam will be conducted through CUET PG (Common University Entrance Test- PG) However, the Entrance Examination for the language courses - PG Diploma Courses in Journalism (Odia, Marathi, Malayalam and Urdu) - will be held separately. We have given a brief outline of eligibility criteria for both below:
IIMC PG Diploma Courses in Journalism (Regional Language)
Nationality:
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Five seats are available in each course for NRI/ NRI sponsored candidates.
- NRIs/NRI sponsored candidates wishing to apply for both non-NRI and NRI categories must submit separate application forms for each category
Age Limit:
- For students from the general category, the date of birth should be August 1.8.1999, maximum age limit 25 years as of 1 August 2024.
- For students from the OBC category, the date of birth should be August 1.8.1996, maximum age limit 28 years as of 1 August 2024.
- For students from the SC/ST/PwD category, the date of birth should be August 1.8.1994, maximum age limit 30 years as of 1 August 2024.
Academic Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Those appearing for their final year examinations can also appear for the entrance test, showing their final year mark sheet/provisional certificate by August 31, 2023.
- If selected, their admission will be subject to their producing at least a provisional certificate in original from their college/university before 31 August 2023, failing which the provisional admission will stand cancelled.
CUET PG 2024 Eligibility
CUET PG 2024 eligibility criteria have been discussed below:
- The candidates who are applying for CUET PG 2024 should have completed their graduation in any field (Arts, Science, Commerce, etc) from any accredited institution.
- Candidates in the final year of their graduation can also apply for CUET PG 2024 exam.
- The minimum age limit is not set for CUET PG entrance exam, candidates of all ages can apply for this exam.
- CUET PG eligibility criteria do not specify any maximum marks required to appear for the test, but students must fulfill the required marks decided by the colleges he/she is desirous of taking admission.

CUET PG 2024 Registration Process
The application form will be released online on the official website, cuet.nta.ac.in.
- Go to the official website of CUET PG exam 2024 nta.ac.in.
- Click on CUET PG 2024 Registration link.
- Provide the asked details such as registration ID, password, etc.
- Candidates have to carefully fill in their personal details, qualification details, preferred exam center, etc. in the application form.
- Now upload the relevant documents in the right format. Students must note that the coloured photographs should be taken with white background. The file should be uploaded in the .jpg or .jpeg format.
- Sign with the black pen on the white paper and scan it. Upload the photograph in the space provided. This signature will be present on your admit card and this should match the signature done on your answer sheet during the final exam.
- Finally, candidates will be directed to the payment option after completing the CUET PG 2024 application form. Pay the application fees through credit card, debit card, UPI, Net banking, etc.

IIMC 2024 Selection Process
IIMCT 2024 admission will be done on the basis of CUET PG 2024 marks for PG courses, except PG Diploma Courses in Journalism (regional languages). All qualified CUET PG 2024 students will be called for IIMC 2024 counseling. Shortlisted ones must register for the online counselling in two rounds on the basis of the number of students appeared and qualified and empty seats. CUET PG 2024 result is expected to get release in the month of April 2024.
Facts related to IIMC Selection Procedure
- Candidates who appear in the written examination will be ranked on the basis of the marks obtained.
- A shortlist based on merit will be prepared for each of the courses (including a separate shortlist for the reserved seats in each course).
- The short-listed candidates will be called for an interview/group discussion in New Delhi at the candidates’ own expense
- The weightage for the written examination and the interview/ group discussion will be 75:25.
- Candidates passing the group discussion/ personal interview round will then be eligible to take admission at any college accepting IIMC entrance exam 2023 ranks/scores.
- After all the admission rounds are conducted a merit list will be released by IIMC (Indian Institute of Mass Communication) with names and other details of shortlisted candidates.
IIMC 2024 Merit List
IIMC releases round-wise Merit List separately for each course. Candidates who are allotted seats in respective rounds need to pay the tuition fee and complete document verification within the assigned time frame. Documents required by candidates to confirm their admission are publishing of IIMC 2024 Merit List are:
- Class 10th certificate
- Graduation passing certificate/ marksheet
- Category certificate for Reserve category candidates.
