The GSEB has released the GUJCET Result 2025 on May 5, 2025. Candidates who appeared for the GUJCET can check and download their GUJCET 2025 scorecard from the official website using their six-digit seat number. You can also send your seat numbers via WhatsApp to 6357300971 and get the result.

GUJCET Result 2025

The final admission to BTech courses in Gujarat will be based on the GUJCET merit list, with 60% weightage from Class 12 marks and 40% from GUJCET scores. Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2025 can also apply through a separate merit list.

The minimum qualifying marks for GUJCET 2025 are:

  • General Category: 45% (54 out of 120 marks)
  • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC): 40% (48 out of 120 marks)

To secure admission in the top institutes such as DA – IICT or Nirma University, the candidates need to achieve a rank of 1278 for CSE pragram, 1527 for Information Technology courses and 1773 for Data Science courses.

Based on the GUJCET 2025 results, a merit list will be prepared by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), which is the official body for conducting the counselling process.

GUJCET 2025 Merit List

The ACPC will prepare and release the GUJCET 2025 Merit List for engineering admissions in participating colleges. There are two types of merit lists:

GUJCET-based Merit List: Candidates who appeared in GUJCET 2025 will be ranked based.

Top Ranks: Candidates scoring above 110 in the GUJCET 2025 exam achieve a rank within the top 500. These candidates can secure admissions in the top institutes across Gujarat such as L.D. College of Engineering or Vishwakarma Government Engineering College (VGEC).

Mid Range Ranks: Candidates getting a score of 100 in GUJCET 2025 exam will achieve a rank within the range of 1000 - 2000. These candidates can aim for colleges like Birla Vishwakarma Mahavidyalaya or even in Vishwakarma Government Engineering College but not in the popular branches like CSE.

Low Ranks: Scoring below 85 gives a rank above 10,000. Candidates achieving ranks above 10,000 may aim for institutes such as Government Engineering College or Hansaba College of Engineering and Technology.

GUJCET Cutoff 2025

The GUJCET 2025 cutoff is divided into two courses, i.e Engineering and pharmacy courses across the top institutes in Gujarat.

GUJCET Engineering Courses Cutoff

The Engineering courses and institutes like LD Colleges of Engineering and Nirma University have relatively high cutoffs, ranging from 105-120 marks in high-demand branches such as CSE and EE. Institutes like DA-IICT and SVNIT also have high cutoffs, especially in the IT branches with the rank range of 110-125 marks.

The Reserved category candidates, including OBC, SC, and ST, have the benefit of the relatively lower cutoff, 70-95 marks for different categories.

In GUJCET 2025, a score of 80-109 is considered as a good score for the general category candidates, making a candidate eligible for the reputed government colleges like BVM Engineering college in competitive branches like Electrical and Civil Engineering.

What are the Passing Marks in GUJCET?

The passing marks in GUJCET depends on the multiple factors including the exam’s difficulty level, the number of candidates, and the cutoffs determined by the institutes for specific courses.

There is no fixed "passing mark" for GUJCET, as it varies based on individual institution cutoffs and category-specific reservations.

  • For the General Category, the passing marks can vary between 60-75, depending on the course and the demand for that course.
  • For the Reserved Category, the passing marks can be 15–20% lower than the general category; the candidate with scores around 60–70 may still have a chance to secure admission in institutes that offer courses with lower demand.

GUJCET Previous Year Result Statistics (2024–2021)

The GUJCET Result statistics from 2024-20217 show a significant trend in candidate participation and performance. In GUJCET 2024, there were 1,08,154 registered candidates, with a high participation rate of 1,04,464 candidates appearing for the exam. In GUJCET 2023, 1,30,788 candidates registered, with male candidates slightly outnumbering female candidates.

GUJCET 2025 Counselling

The GUJCET Counselling process will start soon as the GUJCET 2025 results are now out. The eligible candidates must register online on the ACPC Portal by providing necessary details and paying a non-resundable fee.

  • The candidates have to fill in their choices for their preferred institutes and courses for admissions based on their rank.
  • The seat allotment process is majorly based on the GUJCET 2025 Merit List. There are two runds of seat allotment in GUJCET 2025 Counselling, ACPC releases the allotment result after each round.
  • Once the seat has been alloted, the candidate has to pay the seat allotment fees to confirm their seat.
