GUJCET Counselling Process 2025
The GUJCET 2025 counselling process is an online one with multiple important stages, each of which must be completed in time to gain admission.
Online Registration and Document Upload
The process starts off with the applicant visiting the government ACPC official portal (acpc.gujarat.gov.in) and submitting the online application form. The applicants have to provide their simple personal details including:
- Full name and GUJCET roll number
- Contact information (mobile phone number and e-mail ID)
- Academic details including Class 12 marks
After registration, applicants need to upload scanned versions of their documents according to eligibility criteria and claims of reservation.

Provisional Merit List Publication
After the document verification process is over, ACPC publishes a provisional merit list. This list is prepared on the basis of GUJCET 2025 scores and ranks candidates.
- In certain instances, candidates who have applied under JEE Main will be ranked separately for the reserved 5% quota.
- The merit list informs candidates about their position relative to others.
- Discrepancies, if any, can be brought to notice during the correction window.
Mock Round of Choice Filling
A mock round is carried out by ACPC prior to actual choice filling so that the candidates can have an idea of the counselling system.
- Candidates log in to the dashboard and make choices of colleges and branches as per preference.
- Mock round outcomes provide an indication of probable seat allotment results.
- Candidates can update their choices based on mock results.
Final Merit List and Round 1 Choice Filling
Following mock allotments, the final merit list is released. Candidates may now freeze their final choices within the Round 1 choice filling window.
- It is advisable that candidates fill as many choices as possible in order of preference.
- Choices can be modified within the allowed time limit.
Seat Allotment and Admission Confirmation
ACPC subsequently carries out the Round 1 seat allotment. The allotment results are posted on the portal, and candidates can view their allotment status by logging in.
- If a candidate is allotted a seat, they have to pay the token tuition fee online within the specified dates.
- They have to download the admission slip and get ready to report to the institute.
Reporting to Allotted Institute
After accepting the seat and creating the admission letter, the candidates have to report to the college that has been allotted to them.
- Original documents have to be brought along for physical verification.
- Institutes check the authenticity of the documents and finalize the admission process.
- Not reporting within the specified time can result in cancellation of the allotted seat, and the candidate will be considered only in later rounds if they give fresh consent.
Later Rounds and Vacant Seat Display
The same procedure is followed in Round 2 and Round 3, for which new choice filling and consent submission are needed.
- Vacancies after every round are shown on the portal.
- Candidates can withdraw or cancel their admission within certain windows.
- A final vacancy report is released after Round 3.

GUJCET 2025 Rank
The GUJCET 2025 rank is important for the candidates who want to secure their seats in the engineering and pharmacy colleges in the Gujarat. The rank is based on the performance in the GUJCET exam, which includes the marks from Class 12 (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and the GUJCET 2025 percentile score.
How GUJCET Rank is Calculated
The GUJCET 2025 rank will be calculated based on a combination of the following:
Class 12 Marks (60% Weightage):
- Class 12 marks from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) are assigned a weightage of 60% in the rank calculation.
- This is a significant portion of the rank, so candidates with high scores in Class 12 will likely secure better ranks.
GUJCET 2025 Percentile Score (40% Weightage):
- The GUJCET percentile score, calculated based on the candidate's performance in the exam, contributes 40% to the final rank.
- A higher percentile indicates better performance in the exam compared to peers.

Rank Based on Expected Score:
The rank estimation is based on the GUJCET score; candidates scoring 120 marks are expected to secure the top 100-120 ranks, placing them in the top branches with the favorable institutes. Scores between 100-119 result in ranks between 200-500; this score can still provide opportunities in good institutes but with more competition. A score 85-99 places candidates in the 500-1000 rank range. With this score, the candidate can get admission into less competitive branches with mid-tier colleges.
Score Range | Approximate Rank |
---|---|
Above 120 | Top 100–200 |
100-119 | 200–500 |
85-99 | 500–1000 |
70-84 | 1000–2500 |
50-69 | 2500–5000 |
Below 50 | 5000+ |
What is a good rank in GUJCET?
For top institutes and competitive branches, a rank under 1000 is considered ideal. For mid-level institutes and less competitive branches, a rank up to 2500 can still lead to admission, while for pharmacy or less competitive courses, ranks from 2000 to 5000 are also considered good.
