GUJCET Counselling 2025: Registration Begins at acpc.gujarat.gov.in, Process, Documents Required, Seat Allotment, Seat Matrix

The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) has begun the GUJCET 2025 counselling registration process officially from March 24, 2025. Those who have passed the GUJCET 2025 and are academically eligible can register online at - acpc.gujarat.gov.in. May 20, 2025, is the last date for registration as well as uploading documents. The registration fee is Rs 350 to be paid online.

For admission to Engineering colleges of Gujarat, candidate must passe HSC examination having minimum 45% (40% for reservation category) in the prescribed subjects and qualified through GUJCET. The merit is determined based on:

• 95% seats of sanctioned intake of Government and Grant-in-Aid institutions & 50% seats of sanctioned intake of Unaided institutions: 50% weightage on theory papers for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry (or Biology) and 50% weightage on GUJCET 2025
• 5% seats of sanctioned intake of Government and Grant-in-Aid Institutions: based on AIR in JEE Main 2025

GUJCET Counselling Process 2025

The GUJCET 2025 counselling process is an online one with multiple important stages, each of which must be completed in time to gain admission.

Online Registration and Document Upload

The process starts off with the applicant visiting the government ACPC official portal (acpc.gujarat.gov.in) and submitting the online application form. The applicants have to provide their simple personal details including:

• Full name and GUJCET roll number
• Contact information (mobile phone number and e-mail ID)
• Academic details including Class 12 marks

After registration, applicants need to upload scanned versions of their documents according to eligibility criteria and claims of reservation.

Provisional Merit List Publication

After the document verification process is over, ACPC publishes a provisional merit list. This list is prepared on the basis of GUJCET 2025 scores and ranks candidates.

• In certain instances, candidates who have applied under JEE Main will be ranked separately for the reserved 5% quota.
• The merit list informs candidates about their position relative to others.
• Discrepancies, if any, can be brought to notice during the correction window.

Mock Round of Choice Filling

A mock round is carried out by ACPC prior to actual choice filling so that the candidates can have an idea of the counselling system.

• Mock round outcomes provide an indication of probable seat allotment results.
• Candidates can update their choices based on mock results.

Final Merit List and Round 1 Choice Filling

Following mock allotments, the final merit list is released. Candidates may now freeze their final choices within the Round 1 choice filling window.

• It is advisable that candidates fill as many choices as possible in order of preference.
• Choices can be modified within the allowed time limit.

Seat Allotment and Admission Confirmation

ACPC subsequently carries out the Round 1 seat allotment. The allotment results are posted on the portal, and candidates can view their allotment status by logging in.

• If a candidate is allotted a seat, they have to pay the token tuition fee online within the specified dates.
• They have to download the admission slip and get ready to report to the institute.

Reporting to Allotted Institute

After accepting the seat and creating the admission letter, the candidates have to report to the college that has been allotted to them.

• Original documents have to be brought along for physical verification.
• Institutes check the authenticity of the documents and finalize the admission process.
• Not reporting within the specified time can result in cancellation of the allotted seat, and the candidate will be considered only in later rounds if they give fresh consent.

Later Rounds and Vacant Seat Display

The same procedure is followed in Round 2 and Round 3, for which new choice filling and consent submission are needed.

• Vacancies after every round are shown on the portal.
• Candidates can withdraw or cancel their admission within certain windows.
• A final vacancy report is released after Round 3.

Distribution of Seats and Participating Institutes

GUJCET 2025 counselling embraces admissions to a vast network of engineering colleges of Gujarat. Seat distribution policy includes the following:
