AP PGECET Counselling 2025: Allotment Out, Check Dates, Process, Documents Required, etc.

Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, on behalf of APSCHE, has started the AP PGECET counselling 2025 for GATE/GPAT candidates. The counselling is ongoing on the official website – pgecet-sche.aptonline.in. The counselling based on PGECET score is being conducted on the official website – pgecet-sche1.aptonline.in.

• The seat allotment result based on GATE/GPAT has been out on August 1, 2025. Candidates must self-report from August 2 to August 4, 2025. Classes start on August 11, 2025.
• The seat allotment result based on AP PGECET will be released on August 8, 2025. Self-reporting is open from August 7 to 11, 2025.

The AP PGECET 2025 counselling process is expected to take place in September 2025. The exact dates for AP PGECET Couselling dates have not yet been released by the authorities. AP PGECET 2025 counselling will comprise registration, choice filling and locking, seat allotment, and document verification.

AP PGECET counselling will be conducted separately for both AP PGECET and GATE/GPAT students.

If you are pursuing any undergraduate degree like BTech or equivalent or BPharm, it must be completed before the counselling process starts. AP PGECET 2025 cut-off or minimum qualifying marks set is 25%, i.e., 30 out of 120 total scores.

What is the registration fee for AP PGECET Counselling?

For registration of AP PGECET 2025 counselling process, the web counselling fee for SC/ST candidates is INR 500, and for others, it is INR 1000/-. The registration fee for AP PGECET counselling is INR 1000 for general and OBC candidates, and INR 600 for SC/ST candidatesThe payment can be made through net banking or a credit or debit card. Candidates can download their allotment order by providing their hall ticket and date of birth. .

At first stage, documents and certificate verification will take place. Your AP PGECET 2025 admit card must also be presented as it is proof you have appeared for the test. PH, CAP, NCC, and sports quota-based students must submit their respective certificates. Following this, you must appear for web counselling after the fee payment. Post-completion of all these processes, the preferred college can be chosen via choice filling.

How many phases are there in AP PGECcET counselling?

AP PGECET 2025 admission counselling will comprise registration, choice filling and locking, seat allotment, and document verification. The authorities will release the AP PGECET dates for counselling on the official website. However, the expected date for the counselling is September 2025.

What is choice filling in counselling?

All candidates who have registered, are required to submit their choices of Institute and Program in order of their preference. As per the eligibility of the candidate, the available Choices for Institutes and Programs will be displayed.

What rank is required to get a seat in Andhra University?

A very good ank like 1000 can get you good brnches and colleges. It depends on what department you would like to take. If you want to get CSE, ECE, Mechanical, something like that, you need to be in the top 1k. And for other departments you should be in the top 2k to get a seat in AU.

AP PGECET Counselling Schedule for GATE/GPAT Candidates

AP PGECET 2025 Counselling Procedure 

AP PGECET 2025 Counselling starts with certificate verification at the designated Help Center. The centers are assigned by Andhra University. Mentioned below are the steps to be followed in completing counselling of AP PGECET.

Stage 1: Certificate Verification and Registration

The initial step before proceeding to the counselling process is to get all the certificates verified. For this, a proper session will be conducted. It starts with the registration, then they will be assigned a session with the timings and venue. Mentioned below is the certificate verification schedule as per their AP PGECET ranks.

• Registration will be carried out at the respective help center only.
• Reach the venue and wait for the announcement from the authorities
• Submit AP PGECET rank card to the personnel at the entrance.
• When a candidate’s rank is called, he/she has to pay the counselling fee.
• Post that AP PGECET registration form will be given to them.
• Fill in details like AP PGECET 2025 Hall ticket number and rank in the form
•  In the next announcement, get all the documents verified.

Documents required by the Special Category (NCC/CAP/PH/Sports) candidates

• PH Category: submit a certificate issued by the District Medical Board and should have a disability of 40% and above.
• CAP Category: submit the following documents:-
  • Service certificate issued by Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer.
  • Identity Card
  • Serving persons have to submit Service Certificates from their workplace showing their relationship with candidate.
  • Candidate whose parents are domicile of AP/Telangana are considered to be eligible to come under the CAP category.
  • Discharge Book for verification.
• NCC Category: submit their A, B, C certificates.

Stage 2: Web Counselling

• After getting all the certificates verified, candidates will then have to appear for web counselling.
• Candidate can participate in AP PGECET 2025 counselling from their home/cyber café/helpline center.
• Before that, one has to pay a required fee as per their category.
• Tabulated below is the fee as per candidate’s category.

Mentioned below is a detailed procedure for to complete AP PGECET 2025 Counselling:

Step 1: Choice Filling

Before selecting a preferred college and course, one needs to register and generate a new password. For generating a password, steps mentioned below are to be followed:

• First, visit the official website of AP PGECET 2025
• Next, click on the ‘Candidates Registration’
• Fill in the details as per required for registration such as Registration Number, Hall Ticket Number, Rank, Date of Birth as mentioned in the Certificate Verification.
• After filling the details, click on ‘Generate Password’. A new screen will then appear. 
• Now, enter a password (having minimum 8 characters and maximum 10 with at least one Numeric/Character)
• Re-enter the Password. Also, enter the Mobile Number that will be provided at the time of verification.
• Click on ‘Save Password’ to save it
• Click on ‘Logout’ and go back to the Home page

Now, one can easily fill the choices with a Login ID and newly generated Password. Mentioned below are the steps to be followed in order to fill in the choices.

• Candidates need to select the Web Option given on the page
• It will open a new Instruction window with all the relevant instructions, candidates must read the instructions carefully and click on “I Understood” button to proceed.
• It will then open a new window “Option Form” where candidates have to fill in the credentials namely AP PGECET Hall Ticket Number, Rank, Mobile No. and then Submit.
•  Option Form will then display the complete list of the colleges based on gender and specialization on the left side, while the right side of the form will be provided for sorting the list of colleges as per the priority of candidates.
• Filters are provided to minimize the selection list:

1. Alphabetical filter- This filter helps in sorting the list in alphabetical order, for example- If a candidate selects “a”, then all the colleges starting with “a” will appear and it will be easy to make the selection.
2. District filter- This filter gives the option to select any district from the list and the colleges in that district will appear.

Note: Candidates can select the college on the left side window and it will appear in the selected order in the right window. An option to modify the priority list is also available.

Step 2: Freezing Option

On completing the priority list, click on the “Save” button and enter the password sent through the SMS and click “Confirm”. The entire data will be sent to the server for processing and the final list will be displayed in a printed format. The registered option will be frozen automatically on the specified last date and shall be used for seat allotment. One should make sure to take out a print and re-check the list.

Step 3: Seat Allotment Process

AP PGECET 2025 Seat Allotment will be announced after the completion of each round of AP PGECET counseling procedure. Listed below is the procedure of Seat Allotment and other details:

• Seats will be allotted to candidates as per their order of preference.
• AP PEGCET 2025 Seat allotment is done in the order of rank.
• The options selected by candidates will be processed and then the final AP PEGCET 2025 Seat allotment result will be announced.
• Once the web counseling is completed the AP PEGCET 2025 Seat allotment results will be released. They can not be altered under any circumstances.
• The final information regarding the allotment will be communicated to the candidate through SMS.
• Candidates then must take out the print of the Provisional Allotment Order from the official website of AP PGECET and should report at the allotted college to perform other admission-related formalities.
• Candidates who fail to report to the college on the specified date will forfeit their allotment.
• Candidates who are willing to participate in the second round of counseling must cancel their admission and pay the counseling fee as fresh candidates.
• Candidates who want to withdraw from the process must submit an application form to Helpline Centre coordinator along with a receipt of certificates.

AP PGECET 2025 Counselling for GATE/ GPAT Qualifiers

All GATE or GPAT-qualified candidates have to apply online to participate in AP PGECET 2025 Counselling. They have to remit an amount of Rs 659 (inclusive of all taxes) as counselling fee. They can follow the below-mentioned steps for counseling registration.

• Visit the official website, click on counselling registration
• Choose the stream you are applying for (GATE/GPAT)
• Fill in the asked details as shown in the image below

• Next step is fee payment.
• After successfully initiating fee payment, candidates can check their payment status by entering their GATE/GPAT 2025 Hall Ticket Number and contact number

For seat allotment, priority will be given to GATE/GPAT holders. If seats remain vacant then it will be filled based on AP PGECET ranks.

Documents required for AP PGECET 2025 Counselling 

Students are required to carry the original copy of each of the documents mentioned below along with a xerox copy at the time of verification. 

• GATE/ GPAT scores
• Provisional certificate or degree certificate
• Marksheet of the qualifying exam
• SSC mark sheet or equivalent
• Certificates of Class 10 to graduation
• Transfer certificate
• Income certificate or Household card or Ration Card
• EWS Certificate issued by Tahsildar if applicable. 
• Candidates who have studied in Telangana but wish to claim AU/SVU regions have to submit a Local Status Certificate
