BTech in Production Engineering is a 4-year full-time graduation programme that deals with manufacturing, engineering, management and improvement of complex procedures that are used in production processes. It teaches about the engineering procedures that are involved in production and manufacturing processes. Course Curriculum Overview:

Production Engineering deals mostly with with manufacturing processes, industrial management and considerable emphasis on mechanical engineering. Also, curriculum incorporates subjects of mechanical engineering like Heat Transfer, thermal engineering, fluid mechanics at same intensity as of mechanical department. Curriculum is designed good enough to gain skills in Production Engineering But in my opinion always go for Mechanical Engineering even if you are gattting private colleges like Dy Patil, MMCOE, PVG college of Engineering. Despite having combination of mechanical engineering and industrial management Production Engineer are not having that much flexibility.

Faculty:

I don't have idea about other departments but Production Engineering Department Faculty was on mostly contract basis. Recently we have some Permanent Professor. And contract basis faculty is not good enough, they certainly lacks in experience. Some of the professor are definitely have high qualification and have good approachability.

My own 6 year experience in igit

The facility well trained and good relationship with students.They are helping features in nature,the placement facility was good and all season horizon festival occurred. The library was big and there own domain books available.

The sports and circulation of good . Every year a run and technology festival occurred. The course are good quit easy . Then the exam area are tite by the staff appears all times . The course and placement good .

Campus Life:

There are various clubs in our college which are very active in their co curricular activities and providing more and more opportunities for the student to learn everything required for their personality development. But there is lack of cultural fests which include various types of bringing different actors or influencers in College. There is a dedicated sports club which always perform some sports activities and do competitions and hence everyone is engaged in sports also. The library is also known as central library and it has vast amount of books its like it's a very big library. The over all infra structure of the college is very nice and well maintained.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The overall fee of the college is low as compared to any other college. Since this college is fully governmental so the tuition fee is very low like just 20k per year. Which can also be obtained if the student possess the scholarship from the college or other institution like LiC, ekalyan etc. If one takes a hostel then The hostel charges is 1k per year but mess fees is 4k per month. The mess provides good food with 4 days a week nonveg in menu. True from heart

Only university fee is to be remmitted by students. And pta fee to be paid to college at the time of admission. After on each sem we pay fee to ktu university. There is no need of other fee payment. Government offers egrantz scholarship for those who are financially backward.

This college has so many clubs which are actively working. Eg, iee, ideator, sae etc. College has a fine library as we can access it for our reference. The clubs are really upskilling the students. Apart from academics arts clubs are also available.

The Pros and Cons of VSSUT, Burla

There are no hikes in tuition fee or we can say there no such tuition fee increase policy as such. The complete cost of BTech regular course would somewhere around 1.5L-1.8L. There are lots of Scholarship opportunities for the students of the university which is a very good financial aid for the students who face difficulty in paying the entire amount.

By conducting several laboratory sessions where they teach about real life use cases and applications which is a very good approach. Each Semester 2 exams are conducted i.e Mid Semester Exam and the difficulty level is in between easy to moderate and is very scoring. The End Semester exam's difficult level is in between moderate to difficult.

Life at GECT

We have 96500 per year.So we have to pay that much fees.And ofcourse we have a lot of scholarships to which we can apply and only one scholarship could be applied and received.Employment opportunities are also high.Even we can sit for Mechanical Engineering placement as we get the equivalency certificate.

It is less compared to other departments.But from this year onwards,as we can sit in the internship and interview of Mechanical Engineering,we may get more opportunities for a better job and life.Equivalency certificate is given as production is a sub in Mechanical engineering.

Tech fest, Pratibimb, Enthusia etc are some major events of the college and they are tipically conducted in the month of January. In the campus we have a library and my department has a seperate library that has books related to our stream and the central library has books related to all courses.Every classroom in the college is equipped with a smartboard and some classrooms have projectors. My college conducts running and cycling event every year under enthusia event and more than 1000 people participate in it every year. In this college we have different clubs like racing,robotics,aero (which makes planes and moon rovers) and clubs related to coding.

This college comes under State Government so the fees here for general candidates is relatively low 85,551 to be exact. The fees for category students changes depending upon the category. Scholarships are available for category students and it is well informed by the scholarship department about every scholarship that is available. Financial aid is provided by alumni for which an exam is conducted and interviews are taken by the alumni and faculty members.

Samavesh and Vassant are the two massive tech - cultural fest having a lot of students and massive participation.They are typically held in february or march.Variety of vook and journals are available in College library. Smart classroom having finished interior as comfortable room are available. Here we have massive sport event knows as Illumina where almost all sport are covered.Here we have various club for different sports.We have more tha 10 clubs covering various activities.Clubs like ecell, IIC , Robotics, Emotica(Drama club), Vibrance(Dance club), Souls(Singing club) and many more.

Tution fee of this college is very affordable as compared to other engineering college. The spikes in fees is very rare and little.The total tution fee for my first year was 41000 and hostel fees 48000. Scholarship such as Odisha post matrix, e-medhabruthi and scholarship is also provided to stduent by college who excell in their academics.Campus employment is quite good here for core branches as compared to technical branches

Production Engineering is also a core branch . It is a sub branch of mechanical engineering. It mainly gives concentration on the manufacturing process in the factories. It also offers a decent package. The average package of last year was 5.65lakhs per annum which is quite decent compared to other colleges.

The college provide quite a opportunity for the internship programs . Companies like tcs , infosis , etc provide a lot of opportunities. The students can enroll in internship programs in their 2nd year phase and 3rd year . College also provides summer internships to the students.

the fests are organised every year like festember and techinal fest like pragyan which refresh our mind there are large amounts of books in the library from where you can get vast amount of knowledge there are smart classes in the classroom so that we can understand the concept very clearly there is provision for each and every sports and you can even represent your college if you are talented enough to represent your college Also there are various clubs which helps in the overall development of the studets

frankly speaking i don't have interest in this course but i choose this course on the basis on my rank the curriculum here in college is far better than school as it is highly practical and it has various uses with respect to the present world the course is repeated every year and the teacher aslo don't find the course to make it interesting and they keep on teaching without any interest the college exams are pretty easy and first ct1, ct2 and finally end sem

It is nice college for students.

From 8th semester students are eligible for the campus placement Nalco, jsw, Wipro , Cisco , Infosys and Deloitte and many more they are giving package like 7 to 17 lakh Highest package is 17 lakh and avg package is 3 lakh 80% student getting placement

Hmm, actually it good as compared to I am thinking about the curriculum what I think to choose this course. It's good and well concises but not for real world application Faculty are good. But I think classroom need to be improved and well maintained.
