Tution fees, when I was a student here, were around 1,21,000 for general category students, 60,000 for OBC and 3-4k for SC/ST. There is also an option for EBC(economically backward class) students with fees similar to OBC. But now, since the institute is autonomous, the fees have risen up to 3L/year. But along with the institute getting autonomous status, the infrastructure has thoroughly improved. There are additional labs added so as to give students international, real world exposure. Campus placements are decent. Average package is 5-6 LPA and mostly IT companies come for recruitment. CS/IT students have the most advantage. Product based companies might prefer CS/IT students and the package might reach upto 15-20 LPA. Internships are not that common. Hardly few students get good ones.

The annual festival of RAIT is HORIZON. It is pretty popular in entire Navi Mumbai and is attended by many people (footfall is in thousands). It is free for RAIT institute students and nominal fee is charged for non-institute people. Coming to library, it is excellent. You'll get all kinds of books here and the library is huge, with well set up desktops to work or study on. Variety of sports are played here and there is a sports committee that play on college and inter college level. Student run social groups like SUC (student union council), RAA (RAIT Alumni Association) and Kalaraag (singing) along with Footloose (dancing) are set up and run by students. There are interviews if you want to get any designation in these. But overall, they're pretty fun, engaging and student-friendly.

The technical festivals include 1. Impetus (March) 2. Kagada (November) 3. Bhag UVCE Bhag (September) The books and journals are easily available and accessible both physically and online form. The students are more present in labs than classrooms enabling them to understand the concepts better. There are annual sports meet and online tournaments held. However, the extracurricular activities are widely and actively conducted in college every month. There are extracurricular clubs, debate clubs, environmental activist's clubs that actively organsizes events. However, the college inclines significantly towards technical opportunities rather than cultural events or sports events.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college's 100 years of legacy influenced my decision to choose this course. The electrical department of the college is known for it's dedicated and highly experienced faculty and lab attenders. The curriculum also provides flexible college timings enabling students to participate in extracurricular activities, internships, courses etc. It includes highly functional labs and subjects equipping them for real world challenges and analytical thinking. The semester end exams are conducted once in 5-6 months. The difficulty of these exams are moderate.

the annual fest is called as verve and it's the best. the library is quite big and they got all the books you want to read right from finance to engineering. the class has AC and smart board and adequate benches to accommodate the students. many sports available too some of them have won inter college too. lots of club to participate and renroll yourself in that is also fairly easy

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

there are many scholarships available to the needy students and girls too. this institute is autonomous so the fees itself is okay. a little bad placement for electronic students because there's no company coming in for electronic students.

**Fees Structure & Financial Assistance:** The engineering college's tuition fee of 135,000 rupees portrays a reasonable and accessible fee structure compared to other institutions. The institution prioritizes inclusive education and offers a range of financial aid options to assist students. Noteworthy among these are the Merit-Based Scholarships, Need-Based Scholarships, and Sports Scholarships, enabling students to pursue their academic goals irrespective of their financial background. Additionally, the college provides robust financial assistance programs in collaboration with external organizations and government schemes. Moreover, the institution follows a transparent fee hike policy, ensuring students are informed well in advance about any potential changes in the fee structure.

Placement Experience:

Students from the 6th semester are eligible for placements, 6th-semester students are first given internship opportunities and then PPO is given. Also, the final-year students give interviews all year. Companies like TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO, CAPGEMINI, etc. Many startups are also a part of the on campus hiring. To date 120+ companies have visited, 23.87 lakhs is the highest package offered and the average package is around 6lpa. More than 80% of students get placed every year. I will go for placements after completing my degree.

Every year our Cultural Fest which is considered to be Central India's biggest Cultural Fest Pratishruti is held in the month of December or January. Apart from that various Technical Fests are organized and also individual Departments have their Management committees consisting of Students as the core members and they organise Technical events and Cultural events which are open to all. Libraries consist of a Large Variety of books including academic and non-academic. We have a Reading room where we can sit and study as we want. We have a facility of Book issuing where we can issue books for a fixed amount of time. Classrooms are well furnished and Every classroom consists of Digital Projects for a better understanding of concepts. Our college Sports committee which also consists of students as the core members organises intercollege as well as intra-college sports competitions such as Udhgosh. There are different college clubs in different domains such as Technical clubs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Electronics Engineering because it involves the curriculum of both IT and the Core Electronics Industry. This expands options for my career and Helps in understanding two parallelly existing Industries. The Faculty here is really helpful and faculty to student ratio is something I am not aware of. However, the ratio is enough for a student to have at least one faculty ready for his help if he/she needs help. The teaching method of every faculty is great. They help us understand the concepts along with hands-on learning. One thing I have to say is that colleges excel in Discipline and the exams are conducted on a fixed basis. We get the academic calendar at the start of the semester and everything is conducted according to that. The exams are a little difficult to pass but this only increases our concept learning of the subject.

Ques. Which is better: Electronics and Instrumentation in BITS Pilani or Computer Science in BITS Goa or Hyderabad? Why?

● Top Answer By Divya Saraf on 05 Aug 23

Ans. The decision should be completely based on your interests. It is always better to choose a course that has ample opportunities; otherwise, you will end up jobless. You have to maintain a good CGPA to get a placement here since the competition level is very high. BITS Pilani is comparatively better at academics and placement support than BITS, Goa, or Hyderabad. When it comes to the selection of the course, Electronics and Instrumentation are a bit difficult for scoring a good CGPA. After this course, you are open to both CSE and EEE fields for your higher studies (based on the electives you have selected). CSE is comparatively better, which opens up  high opportunities and BITS across India provides placement support for students with good CGPA So, choose wisely based on your interests.Read more

Ques. What is the difference between EEE, EnI and ECE at BITS, Pilani?

● Top Answer By Prateek Sharma on 05 Aug 23

Ans. BITS Pilani does not offer an Electronics and Communication Engineering Program. When comes to ENL and EEE, there are some key points you should keep in mind as an applicant, which are listed below Opportunities – In the current scenario, EEE opens up more opportunities than ENL. For Instance, the Indian Engineering Examination is only applicable to students from ECE and EEE Campus – BITS Pilani is far better than BITS Hyderabad as they have well-equipped lab and infrastructure Placement – The three batches can sit for the placement, but the companies give more weight to Communication and Digital Signal Processing So, it is better to choose EEE than ENL at BITS Pilani.Read more

Ques. How good are the placements and packages for electronics and instrumentation in BITS Pilani?

● Top Answer By Prakash Singh on 14 May 24

Ans. When it comes to the BITS Pilani campus, the scope of getting placed at top companies is huge. First, let me tell you about the placement process that is followed by BITS Pilani.  The placements are divided into two semesters for all three campuses. You will have to choose which semester you want to sit for placements by the end of the third year. Normally, students who sit for the first semester have a CGPA above 8 and those who sit for the second semester have a CGPA in the range of 6 to 8.  Mostly, those who have less than 8 CGPA do not get to sit for placements in the first semester. The job offers from the recruiters are good. About 15-20 companies visit the college for both semesters.  However, your opportunities are better if you get to sit for the first semester. So, try to maintain a CGPA above 8.Read more

Ques. How many marks are required to get an admission in NIT Warangal CSE, IT or in the electronics branch?

● Top Answer By Shivani Singh on 19 Aug 23

Ans. To get admission into NITW, you need to secure a certain rank in the JEE Mains exam.  These are the closing ranks for round 6 of JoSAA counseling to get admission into these branches at NIT Warangal, for 2023: Course Quota  Seat-Type Gender Closing Rank CSE HS Open Gender-neutral 3115 CSE OS Open Gender-neutral 2413 ECE HS Open Gender-neutral 6516 ECE OS Open Gender-neutral 5814 ECE (VLSI) HS Open Gender-neutral 7103 ECE (VLSI) OS Open Gender-neutral 7047 EEE HS Open Gender-neutral 11388 EEE OS Open Gender-neutral 9265 Out of the branches mentioned by you, NIT Warangal does not provide B.Tech IT. You can also check the 2023-2024 cutoffs of other branches and categories for NITW However, I would like to tell highlight a few things- Electronics and Electrical value your ability to remember random figures rather than polishing your technical knowledge.  The syllabus and question paper for both these courses is below par at NIT Warangal. The syllabus for them is outdated. Placements are high at NITW, but software profiles are mostly offered.  Most students start coding from their pre-final year because of low placement chances in the core companies of other disciplines.  The college infrastructure and hostel facilities may disappoint you.  Government colleges other than IIT D, B, and K are lagging behind in reality. They have subpar infrastructure and their administration is old and rigid. They offer no extra support and opportunities to their students. All of this combined with the rigorous academic schedule causes plenty of frustration. Read more

Ques. How is instrumentation and control in Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal?

● Top Answer By Kalyani Shankar on 09 Sept 23

Ans. The Instrumentation and Control Engineering branch at MIT Manipal is a multifaceted branch dealing with various subjects related to Electrical, Electronics, and mechanical. Students are taught about sensors, transducers, electrical and mechanical instruments, microcontrollers, control systems, process automation, etc. The branch is good and its labs are equipped with modern instruments. The faculty is decent and the placement scenario seems very promising. One of my friends recently completed his BTech in instrumentation and control and gave me an active idea of the placement scenario of the branch. Out of the entire batch around 95% of students got placed. The highest package stood at INR 20 LPA and the average stood at INR 10 LPA while the lowest was recorded at INR 5 LPA. The star recruiters included Mercedes, Flipkart, Amazon, and Nvidia among many others. Overall, this branch is great if you are interested in this field.Read more

Ques. How is instrumentation and control at NSIT - infrastructure, faculty, course content, scope, placement and research opportunities?

● Top Answer By Akriti Banerjee on 23 Aug 23

Ans. Here is all the information about ICE at NSUT Delhi- Faculty - The ICE faculty is a mixed bag. There are some teachers who teach really well and their classes are enjoyable. However, there are some strict ones as well. Some do not care about their subject or the students at all. Coursework - The ICE coursework is fine and gives you ample time to pursue your interests. Infrastructure - NSUT Delhi has undergone infrastructural changes recently. This is because it has gained University status. The college library is centrally air-conditioned. ICE shares most of its labs with the Electronics and Computers branches. The labs are well-equipped. Placements - Placements are less as compared to COE/IT branches. Few companies offer jobs to ICE students, especially for Core job profiles. Generally, DRs and people with exceptional profiles are placed in ICE. Internship offers are also less for this department. Research- ICE students are actively involved in research work. The ICE faculty encourages students to participate in research. Students also work under DTU, IIT Delhi, and IIIT Delhi teachers. ICE students work on around 3-4 projects while at NSUT Delhi. Scope - ICE students drift from their core stream to a programming job or an MBA. Some also prepare for an MS.  This is all the information about the ICE branch at NSIT Delhi.Read more
