Since our college is partly autonomous, we follow the rules, regulations and syllabus Calcutta University. Hence, our exams are conducted in the respective manner. Talking about faculty, I never had to experience anything bitter. So, I appreciate the hard work they put in to manage the various activities of college.

i could give a 50 50 ratio to it as some of the teachers are much appreciated they do hardwork for the students by giving them quality education and fair treatment but some of the teachers follow their egoistic nature inside and outside the campus they don't understand their students concern. overall i would like to say that the teachers are those who would do anything for giving best to the students. one of my political science teacher she was a brilliant teacher as well as person. she didi really good work for the our betterment but unfortunately she was promoted to another college i still miss her i think i can't take the name of any teacher who i disliked but yeah i can give the reason why i didn't liked them it is because that they didn't treated every student equally they used to do favouritism in the classroom which i think is the most disliked habit. if i talk about the exam it is held very late which effects future of the students it is held when next semester should start.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i think the curriculum of the course was a satisfactory. it helped in knowing the actual Aspects of world as i opted for history i came with various historical events which i had no idea of. the only thing to improve is the availability teaching staff, which is the basic problem of the college. as i previously said that the exam are held too late it should also be improved by holding exam as per exact time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspects that influenced me to choose this course are involvement of media and communication, real time updates, history of media and the practical aspects of each of these. In this present generation media and communication are the important keys for success in every field, a good communicator with the knowledge of media can enable ample amount of opportunities. Overall the teaching methods are upto the mark along with its practical classes of graphics and software training but according to me the department should enhance field work so that the students can get rid of public shyness. The exam hours range from 2.5-3 hrs, and students can complete the paper within the time limit if only they don't waste their time intentionally.

Faculty:

The faculty members of the college are very well behaved and helpful in nature. Students can easily interact or approach the faculty members of they face any issues related to classes, doubts or other problems related to the students or seniors. According to my faculty I would like to name some of them who are very much supportive such as Pritha mam, Sujoy sir, Mahendra sir and our respected HOD, Pramiti mam. There are total three exams that includes two internals and the final even semester examination. Practical exams are also there. These exams are not much hard as because the teachers teach everything in the syllabus and also provides notes in every class. There are very less amount of students who are unable to clear the examinations.

My admission fees was 10000 and in every semester I paid 40000 and Per year I paid 80000 And the examination fees in first year was 2900 And after that in second and third year my examination fees was 1700. It's not increased yet. The fees of my batchmates was 38000,25000,32000 per semester. I don't like the partiality that they had done with me Because all are equal so they should take same amount.

Campus Life:

The infrastructure and all the things are very good in our campus. So many students run social groups and many of the student had gone for the cleaning of cities and their are four clubs in our campus. In sports our campus is in top position and extra curricular activities like dance acting singing and many more. Our college also conduct ITM got talent in which students participate.

According to my opinion , the fee of the course is a bit overpriced but also its to some extent worth it because of all the equipments being provided and also the travel expenses for field work. Scholarships are provided on highly excelling percentages or CGPA to the respective students. There is no on-campus placement in the institute but the exposure to internships is quite helpful.

Faculty:

Shri Shikshayatan holds one of the best faculties among all the colleges in Kolkata which in turn is one of the sole reasons why its a highly demanded institute by the candidates. The amount of verbal and academic support received by the faculty members is never disappointing. Their insights and ideologies give a glimpse of their extreme qualifications in every single moment.

My course was Bachelor's in Journalism and Mass communication with an elective of film studies which really interested me in joining the course. The course is very well designed to balance bith theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge. Each semester has practical activities such has making newspaper i.e learning the InDesign software , then there's Audio editing , creating hyperlinks and website , making documentary , making objective based videos, creating ads . Theories too are very informative and interesting . Media students really feel intrigued to grasp the knowledge. As we can see a relevant skillset is being built for the studens which helps them get opportunities in the job market. Improvement could be using the softwares of lates version as it would be much more effective. Exams are lengthy and the duration comes down to being very less . But its manageable.
