  • Class rooms were quite conjusted. Even there was no media lab for our experiments.
  • The number of hostels could have been more . so that more students would have been benifitied.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I am quite enthusiast about journalism. this is a field with immense diversity. since i could write well and i loved to speak on current social and political issues so i chooses this course. practicals should be involved with theory. exams were conducted on right time having internals and semesters . internals helped us to focous on particular chapters which auromatically helped us to boost in semester exams. the exams paper were set for all type of students . one who went trhough all the chapters could easily get above 70 percent marks .

Internships Opportunities :

college provided internships at local news channel . it was unpaid internship. at starting in this field to earn money is very challenging. yes but there were collabs with renowned journalists and photographer for workshop at university level.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

the tution fees of this course was quite low as compared to other courses especially courses of science and law. the totall fee i paid in 3 years including all charges were all around 14000 approx. the financial aids and amount of scholarships were missing for the students who came from different states.

Campus Life :

there were many clubs and groups for singing , dancing , acting and other activities like eng writing , hindi writing , poetry , photo graphy , graphic desinging and many more. annually, cultural sports meet was held. there were many intra college level and departments level games were held.

Hostel Facilities :

There were 3 boys hostel at that time . we got a new building . we accomodated there for the 1st year. there was a mess which was well furnished for students . there were tv rooms , table tennis room , garden area, and other facilites too.

Admission :

the process of enrolling in this course was on the basis of 12th board marks. There was a cut-off chart prepared on the basis of the 12th percentage. though I came from an ews background. I got enrolled through the unreserved category. I enrolled in this course for 3 years. now we have to face cuet exams for the enrollment.

Faculty :

Teachers were quite friendly and coopeartive . teachers used to guide each and every student personally . the best thing was , the teachers were even helpful after the class sessions. they used to sit with us and used to guide at their personal level.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Talking about the curriculam, when I was taking admission here, a pdf was mailed to me which consisted of the course and curriculam of the B.A. Journalism & Mass Communication. As I gone through it, I was surprised that the syllabus was up-to-date with the current standards of the media industry. After spending 3 year of my adacemic life here at Amity, I learnt a lot of things, which I personally take advantage of in my professional life. I don't see any update required for the current course and syllabus. Talking about the exams and their frequency, we used to have a mid-term examination and an end-term examination every semester. These examinations were very responsible for our development.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the final semester onwards. Renowned companies such as Dainik Bhaskar and Navbharat Times visit the campus, offering placements to smart and bright students. The average salary offered is 40,000 monthly, with the highest package reaching 7 lakh per annum. The placement rate stands at around 40%. For those not immediately placed, the college provides support for employability. Personally, I plan to pursue further studies or explore internship opportunities to gain practical experience in my field of interest.

Placement opportunities are decent. Coming from my seniors, they have been placed in Aaj Tak, Dainik Bhaskar, PTI, etc. These are the national-level organizations in the field of media studies. Placements depend on the personal skillset of students.
