We had to take an entrance test. The eligible person has to score a minimum 55% in 12th to take the test. The forms are available on the official Website of CU. The forms are uploaded generally in the the month of June and exams are held in the same month. After COVID-19, since 2020, they have started taking admission on the basis of 12th board results. I am not in favour of this decision as 12th boards can't decide the merit of a student. An entrance test gives a ray of hope to those who didn't score good marks in boards.

I always wanted to study law in my college. Currently, I am studying at South Calcutta Law College affiliated with the University of Calcutta. To get admission there is an entrance test conducted by the University of Calcutta every year. First of all, you need to visit the University of Calcutta website. There you will find the application form. Apply the form and select your references as there are 12 law colleges under CU. 4 of them are government and the rest are private. After that, an entrance exam will be conducted. Based on your rank you will get your college and also you can get your desired college if your rank fulfills the criteria to get admitted to the college. After that counseling process will start and then verification and after that you will get admission to your college. There are reservation benefits also. As of now, no improvement is needed in the admission process.
