There two semesters per year and the fees will be Rupees 26000 each. This low compared to the national law colleges with the same reputation. There are no other extra cost for education other than this.Students from financial backward category are provided with E grants.
The faculty is highly experienced and helpful. Even though there is no placement cell, the teachers help student to get internships and placements with their contacts. The main problem is there are only a few permanent faculties. Most of them are guest faculties.
The course syllabus is updated to match with the changing trends in the field of law. But lack of university textbooks for b.com is definitely a week point. They could have made it possible with a little effort. But this problem can be easily overcome by reffering to third party textbooks or PDFs. The opportunity to select an optional subject during the mid semester is another postive aspect. Students are given a fair amount of exposure to the industry. Mokt courts are another important aspect the college has Put in efforts to conduct koot court programs every semester both internally and externally by cooperating with other colleges and universities. Faculties are pretty good as well. Though so subjects are still thougt by guest lecturers who are not as experienced as the permanent ones.
The faculty is good with impressive degrees Also there are opportunities which are almost in par with the ones offered at National Law Schools The library of the SLS and the University Central Library is really enriching.
The course syllabus is very well updated. The University provides opportunities to do inter as well as intra college moot courts and certain other internship options as well to its students. The faculties are good.
Course curriculum, I find it mostly updated with latest versions. But the faculties provided are not that good, especially the guest faculties, there are rumors saying guest faculties are chosen based on their political reach (may or may not be true) anyway guest faculties are so poor that some times students know more than them. But yes, there are certain other permanent, experienced faculties who are excellent namely, Dr. Aneesh V Pillai, Dr. Harigovind, Mathew Jacob Sir, Sherin Ma'am.
The syllabus was updates according to the bar council requirements. Industrial exposure is low, but we have abundant opportunities which we have to explore on our own. We have to search and find the opportunities in store.
The syllabus was alright, it definitely requires revision. With respect to faculties, it??s average and only a few of the faculties are committed and proficient. The school does not provide much exposure, it is for the students to rise above and work hard if they need to get better.
Curriculum is time consuming when you approach in a serious manner. The faculty is well qualified. There are talks and lecture series held by the School of Legal Studies as well as Cochin University. Moot court competitions are there for aspiring lawyers, provided you make the best use of it all.
