Nagpur Veterinary College is one of the Government Veterinary Colleges in Maharashtra. The college is popularly known as NVC Nagpur and it was founded in the year 1958. The institute is affiliated to Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU) and is approved by the Veterinary Council of India.

Nagpur Veterinary College provides courses under the basic classification of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in 14 specializations. At the UG level, Nagpur Veterinary College offers a Bachelors in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry for a duration of 5 years. Admission to the same is granted on the basis of NEET-UG or MHT-CET scores

At the PG level, the college offers a Master's degree in Veterinary Science. Admission is given based on the score in various National/ State entrance exams NEET, MHT-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test).

The institute also offers an M.Sc. under different departments, admission will be done on the basis of the ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) entrance examination followed by counseling.

  • The admission of the candidate to B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course shall be made based on his/her merit in the NEET-UG or Competitive Entrance Examination (MHT CET-2021) conducted by Directorate Medical Education & Research, Mumbai and also on the merit list of NEET score.
  • HSC or equivalent examination will be considered such as CBSE or Indian School Certificate Examination with English (NCERT norms) and physics, chemistry, and biology including practical tests in these subjects or recognized equivalent thereto by the Association of Indian Universities or by the appropriate authorities.

The mode of application is online.The college accept the scores of MHT-CET and student must passed 12th with 50%+ in PCBE.The selection process is on the basis of merit in MHT-CET. I selected on the basis of my score i achieved in common entrance test.

You need to clear an entrance exam conducted by NTA every year called NEET-UG or MHT-CET (competitive entrance exam).Other than that you need to have at least 50 % marks in your 12th examination with physics, chemistry, biology as the main subjects.A merit list will be prepared based on the combined scores of entrance exam and 12th scores. 5% reservation is given to SC/ST/OBC. Based on your score you will be called for a counselling session and later granted admission.
