About MAFSU

Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU) was established in 2000 at Nagpur, Maharashtra. The university is recognised by UGC. The university offers many UG, PG, doctoral, and diploma courses. The University has been made of six Agricultural institutions in the state consisting of five Veterinary Colleges along with one PG Institute of Veterinary and Animal Sciences and two Dairy Technology College. MAFSU Nagpur Admission

The admission to the University is based on Merit, Entrance exam results, and Interview depending upon the selected courses. Candidates must register on the official site for admission. The university offers full-time B.Tech. courses. For the admission, a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as a compulsory subject from a recognised board and need to appear for MHT common entrance test. The selection is based on the results of the entrance and additional round as mandated by the University. 

Admission to Bachelor courses in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Sciences, a candidate should have completed 10+2 with the subject Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects and have to pass NEET UG. The selection is based on the both merit marks and entrance test results.

The library has a sufficient number of textbooks, 741 e-books, 31 print journals, 31 e-journals, 5125 back volumes, 3 CD-ROM databases, and encyclopaedias etc.

Ans. There is an online admission link available on the website of the college. You can apply online by paying the application fee.

Ques. What are the basic eligibility criteria for the diploma course?

Ans. A candidate needs to pass the 10 examination or equivalent to apply for the diploma course. The selection is based on merit.

Ques. Is there any reservation policy in the college?

Ans. Yes, there is a reservation policy for the UG courses. A candidate must obtain at least 40% marks in the compulsory subjects to apply for the course.

Ans. Yes, the university has an e-book library facility inside the university premises.

Ques. Can I change from MUHS Nashik to MAFSU?

Ans. MUHS stands for Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and MAFSU stands for Maharashtra animal and fishery sciences University. The streams offered by both institutes are very different in their own aspects. Transferring from one institute to another is impossible because subjects and the streams offered are very different. 

Ques. Is there any way to enter into a BVSc AH course at the age of 32?

Ans. A candidate applying to this course at MAFSU must be 17years of age and below 25 years of age. In some special circumstances a 5 year relaxation period is allowed but it is unlikely that someone will get admission in this course at the age of 32 as per the guidelines instituted by MAFSU.

Ques. How do I get transcripts from MAFSU?

Ans. Each set of transcripts/attested mark-sheets from Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University is issued in a separate sealed and stamped/signed envelope. You can apply for the transcript at the official website of the University.

Admission process was easy and its online process. it has seperate websit mafsu.ac.in they provide update of process by text and email. Have to fullfill form online and then have to fill choice of collage . It has quata 15% for all india and ramaining for only maharastra student.

The admission process is conducted by MAFSU. You can visit www.mafsu.ac.in for more details and latest dates. The cut off is in range between 500 to 550 marks for general category for sate quota. The reservation for region to sate is 70 percent to 30 percent

Admission process starts after neet results on MAFSU website. The cutoff for students having caste benefit is less and for general category it's around 500+ . For caste you can get admission for 200 plus score in the neet exam

For BVSC &AH degrees after giving 12th science exam studen8mhst appear for neet examination and should score around 500 of there is no caste benefit . The students with caste benefits might get qualified with around 200 plus marks

Neet is the entrance exam for admission. Mafsu has its own website mafsu.ac. specially designed for the admission process. It is a state-level admission. Students can also opt for admission through all India quotas which is ICAR. All the reservation benefits like obc,sc,st etc are given to students.

The Institute offers a full time course in B.Tech with specialization in Dairy Technology. 10+2 qualified students can apply for admission to the course. 

Eligibility

  • The students should have completed 10+2 with PCME (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English) as their compulsory subjects from any recognized board.
  • The candidates should have appeared for the Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET 2019) conducted by State CET Cell, Mumbai.

Selection Criteria

  • The selection is based upon the total percentile score obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at MHTCET by the candidates.
  • Based on the performance in this examination, a merit list is prepared and selected candidates are informed about further details by the University.

No, MHT CET  scores are not compulsory as you can get admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science [BVSc] & A.H. on the basis of scores of the NEE UG entrance examination. The registration process for the course has not yet started for this session.
