Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences: A short story

Likes

Faculties and their behavior. Their helpful and cooperative nature and also their way of teching.
The simple and easy way of learning by smart classrooms, high end labs and also about the teacher student relationship.
There is a system of Teacher-student mentoring programe where students shares their problem and every details with them.

Dislikes

Over burden of studies. The college focuses more in attending classes and clinical duties.

After completing the 8th Semester (internship) the students get placed in various hospitals across the country like Manipal, Appollo, Narayana, etc... The average package varies from 3-5 lakhs per year also changes with the state where they work. Almost every students get placed after completing the internship. The college also offers placement in its own hospital, KIMS Hospital if they want to work their. My plan is to do M.Sc after completing B.Sc

I liked the hospital because it gives opportunity to work in different parts of the hospital.
As it's a nursing college all the days of the medical are followed
The teaching staff are so well experienced.

Dislikes

The structure of the class room is the thing I don't like.
The food quality of the hostel should be more good.
The class room should have to be more good.

Placement Experience:

In 8th semester students are eligible for campus placement. KIMS hospital is the main and best placement to be done. Students also get international placement with higher salary. My plan after getting degree is to join kins hospital.

College have its own hospital which provides a great practical knowledge and great experience in the work site which is the most positive point.which include most modern modern techniques and 3000 bedded hospitals with high class facilities.
The college has its own building and having many fundamental laps, which includes of dummies and many more intelligent faculties, which provides a greater experience in studying and provide a practical knowledge on the basis of nursing.
It also having Smart classroom and own auditorium in which most of the programs and celebrations are happened, which provide a eco-friendly environment and studying ambience to enhance the intelligence and provide a great studying experience

Dislikes

The teachers are very strict and focused on studying
Nothing to say bad every thing is fine and good
6:4 ratio of girls and boys are there .

Placement Experience:

After completion of seven semester, you will be able to take part in the internship during the internship period and campus are offered you with highest average package of nine lakh for annum. If you want to go to abroad, there is also facilities in nursing which you can afford and afford easily. The percentage of getting placement is around 40% of student from our college get placed in India and abroad.

Expressing my own experience in kiit

Likes

The quality of Infrastructure and the campus is so good and beautiful. The faculties are also so intelligent and higher qualified.
The college provide us full placement services and also internship duty.
The surrounding of our college is so attractive and neet and clean, it provide us all the facilities that we need.

Dislikes

Our college do not provide us proper holidays not even a single day in a month, they always required a proper reason for it.
Our faculties are so strict, we get much more burden and stree due to them
The class rooms are not so big, we get conjusted. The fees structure is also so high for it.

Placement Experience:

Yes our college provide us placement. Even the quality of Infrastructure and the campus is also so attractive and beautiful. After completion of our 4 year degree we have a chace to do our internship duty and then we are eligible for doing job at any where. Whole 100 percent students get the placement offered by our college.

Likes

I liked the most is the campus and the hospital that is so much of cleaned and well build
I liked the faculty members that are so much mixing

Dislikes

I didn't liked the way of teaching that is very boring not so creative
There is lack of coordination between the teachers

We got placement here but that is form 8, which semi not right not we still have long way to go students should have 60 percent for that and my plan after getting this degree is to do 1-year internshipthe msc the PhD and teaching

Likes

KINS has good campus environment and good for social work
Can make good friends too and the people are nice too
Teacher are nice and they help us in everything and try to improve us

Dislikes

The college buliding is small and we don't have our own class we all have to sit in others class
Hostel are also not that good the food is not good we have to study with ppt
They gave us no holidays and always give us work nd assignment

From 8 semester students become eligible for campus placement right now no placement for us because I'm in 2 sem and I have a long way to go percentage much be higher then 60 percent and my plans after getting the degree is to do 1 or 2 yr practice then go for Msc in any foreign country then phd

Overally good.

Likes

The campus life is good and Our clinical area is realy good for practice as Nursing students.
The college atmosphere is good and well maintained.
Our hospital is very good, it is a super speciality hospital.

Dislikes

The faculties are not up to the mark and don't have proper coordination.
Washrooms are very unhygienic and not maintained properly.
The lab classes are not held properly at all.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very hardworking as nursing is a professional field and noble job. I think as students a lot of presssure is given on us . We don't get holidays except sundays and also we have go for clinical duty , if we do absent during clinical hours then we have to stay over and do makeup duty during vacation time. We only get 15days summer vacation which I think is very less. We don't get any semester break.
