There is no campus as such there is one floor allotted to kirit p Mehta school of law that is the 9th floor of the mithibhai buildings and there are many fests organized such as Meraki fest and parakram the sports committee also organize events. The classroom has ac and all smart board is also provided In class.
Great social life, right at the center of Mumbai city. you get to experience plenty of things including the fests and cultural committees. It is a very holistic environment to develop in. There are abundant resources, the library is well equipped and the clubs are also very active.
The annual fest is Umang, Meraki, parikrama, and many more, good library every sort of book is available, nice classrooms fully centralized ac, no sports future there are teams for every sport but no courts
Many fests happen throughout the year. There are many cultural committees to conduct various types of competitions. You will get ample opportunity to participate in any committee as a member or head. Many students run websites that are there for moot court, adrc, and legal aid. The infrastructure of the college is good but you will have your college on a single floor only. Classes are built well but less no of class. AC classroom. No area for outdoor games. Very crowded. Too many students, will not get time to interact with seniors or juniors. Like you will have a social life if you are a member of any committee unless you will not get a chance to interact with other class students.
Meraki is the annual cultural fest of NMIMS-Kirit P Mehta School of Law, Mumbai. It is an international event held for 3 days. As the college shares the campus with Mithibai college, the fest takes place there. Classrooms have ACs with projectors and screens with ample sunlight and modern seating arrangements. The library has more than 10000 books and the e-library has access to paid databases and more than 40000 books. There is a comfortable seating arrangement in the library with ventilated corridors. The college has numerous extracurricular activities ranging from sports, MUN, debates, fine arts, tech fests, legal aid and many more.
The social life is pretty decent. The college hosts an annual fest themed MERAKI which has had guests like sara ali khan and karthik aryana and also singers like anuv jain. The library is limited and more resources are indeed needed. The campus has the PARAKRAM fest for sports and also hosts SOL Olympics. There are other comms like Debsoc and law review comm which has an NMIMS Law review journal and blog under it.
Miraki and Parakram are the major fests of KPMSOL, many celebrities come to college. The student is given the opportunity to showcase their talent in this fest. There are lots of committee in the college which conduct their activities from time to time one can be the part of the committee and explore in the area they want.
The Moot Court room is shared by the college with another college who is in the same building. The sports participation is upcoming. NMIMS does not have a sporting premise of its own and allows coordinating with sister schools and college of the trust to use the turf, basketball court etc available at their campus which is in a 3 km radius.
The admission is based purely on the CLAT Scores of the students, there is no bias based on race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc. The campus is very conducive to the all-round development of the student. The institute provides a number of opportunities for the student to participate in various activities on the campus. There are many competitions like MOOT Courts, debates, workshops being organized for enhancing the skills of the students, The faculty members always encourage the students to participate in different activities. The facilities provided are on par with the best of institutes.
I have stayed in NMIMS hostel for three years , while some hostel provide food while other dont. It ranges upto 2 lakh a year that is a little expensive plus it is also very congested . Its preferable to stay in a flat then hostel. Other than that security is good while hygiene is also maintain but my recommendation would be that at least one year a student should live in a hostel to learn the way of life.
