Remarks:

The college has air-conditioned moot court rooms, library with enormous book collections which are accessible to all, super deluxe hostel rooms, Wi-Fi facility with very high-speed internet connection and the best part is that we don't have classrooms instead we have claffrooms which is the combination of the class room with an exclusive inbuilt staff rooms. As I had already completed my 5 years integrated graduation from a renowned college, I filled applications for college to pursue higher studies which is LLM. I really wanted admission in this college. As I had submitted my application I was called for a Group Discussion round, after I qualified this round, later I was called for an interview and on the basis of my interview and previous colleges scoring, I landed myself in this college.

Master of Laws [L.L.M.] (Corporate Law) : 3 answered questions

VIEW ALL

Ques. Is there any value of doing MBL (Masters of Business law) from NLSIU, Bangalore?

● Top Answer By Praniti Pathak on 28 Sept 21

Ans. If you are looking at the course from the perspective of its acceptability in the industry, then honestly it does not rank very high in the list. It can not be even fully considered a proper Masters in Law degree. One of my friends studied it and here’s what she has to say about it. Masters in Business Law (MBL) is not a full-time LLM course. You cannot take UGC-NET on the basis of this degree. It is quite an expensive course. Not only the course fees but they take additional fees like Rs. 500 for each subject. They have a continuation fee of Rs. 2500. The books suggested are also not elaborate enough to learn about the course. They lack content. There is no transparency in checking answer sheets. If you want your answer sheets rechecked, it will cost you Rs.800 for each paper. Therefore it is recommended that you do not opt for this course, as it is not an LLM course. The only thing credible about it is the tag you receive from NLSIU.Read more

Ques. What is the scope and benefit of the Masters in Business Laws (MBL) course from NLSIU?

● Top Answer By Esha Bose, on 25 Oct 21

Ans. Masters in Business Law (MBL) from NLSIU is not UGC recognized. If you are an average student willing to pursue this, it is suggested that you look for other options. This is because passing is a tiring task here., it will gradually become harder to drag it for the remaining years. You also have to pay an extension fee of INR 5000 every year. There are better courses available. Do some market research and then apply, do not get excited with just the brand name NLSIU. This course also has no market value. Companies prefer regular courses or professional courses.Read more

Ques. How difficult is the MBL offered by NLSIU?

● Top Answer By Shreya Das, on 25 Oct 21

Ans. The Masters in Business Law (MBL) course from NLSIU is not difficult but the course work is more rigorous than LLB coursework.  Law as a subject in itself requires a thorough readership and effort to get into every detail. It offers 10 subjects. Students with a working background could find it difficult to tackle both sides. The questions asked in the exams are straightforward compared to the question papers that are set for the regular course students. Most of the students who fail in the examination are because they are working so taking out time from their schedules to study for exams becomes hectic. However, if you are interested in doing the course then it is highly recommended.Read more
