Faculty is great the faculty members are highly knowledgeable and bring a wealth of experience to the classroom.
Mou has been signed between iit dharwad and iiit dharwad which will increase the placements opportunities and increase the level of learning.
We have a good classrooms with well furniture and a smart tv and even a good speed wifi in every class.

1: 7 ratio faculties are chill , but they are not teaching as expected this is very poor , not giving exact grades , more absenties than students interaction is on 24/7 like hi hello... greetingd of the day
Chicken is not present in the mess menu which is very sad.
Students have to get it on their own most of the time because the placement cell is very bad.

The overview of IIIT Dharwad

Building infrastructure is good , like Bus service are available. Some professor are good
placements are average but not good as expectation .
Course is also good overall . projects is also give to students which helps students to increase their skills

Dislikes

Sports facilities are not good , grounds condition are not good there are lots of bushes in campus .
no proper maintainance of green areas . Attendance percentage is high which is 85% .
some of the professors are not good in teaching they also have no teaching experience . All the professors are assitant professors this is one negative point about college

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, you are eligible for college placements. So many companies visited like Amazon, Infosys, etc., and made almost 50+ offers. The highest package is 35-40 lakhs, average is 7 lakhs. 70 -80 percent get placements.

IIIT Dharwad - A college to be avoided

Atmosphere around the campus is very pleasent.
Campus has greenary which improves quality of living
Campus is spread across 120 acres of land

Dislikes

Quality of food was not that good and can be improved
Better faculty can be hired who will not just read the pdf
Number of students in one room can be reduced to increase space

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I was interested in game development and I wanted to learn coding. All the teaching faculty in the college have PhD degree in their respective subjects. Teaching method can be improved as they just read pdf rather than make the class interesting. Term exams take place every two months and there are only two term exams which are mid sem and end sem. Difficulty of exams is moderate.

the most important thing i liked in the college is about clubs which provide various events every week.
atmosphere around the college is also very good and weather is very pleasant.
classrooms are also wide enough and having a proper ventilation.

Dislikes

placements are not at all good in this college.
hostel facilities are also not appropriate according to the amount we pay.
there are no cultural events happened in the college since i have joined.

I have started learning some programming courses in my 12 class itself. I know c language and C++. so I decided to take a CSE course at this college. here there are 140 students out of which there are 12 girls and the remaining are boys. faculty is very good.

REALITY OF IIIT DHARWAD!

Likes

The people outside the campus are very helpful. They give lift when we are in need (for going market)
Here we are getting 24 into 7 electricity. We also have Wi-Fi facilities every time. Every Street pole has a router placed inside so that we are getting Wi-Fi every time.
The plantation over is very nice when we are watching out of the window from our hostel room, we are watching green plants everywhere.

Dislikes

The faculty of a year always target students, and they are not treating well the y always misuse the power of the position
The hygiene of hostel is very bad. The faculty always listens to the people who are localites who all are speaking Kannada.
The ratio of girls over is very bad we don't have enough female friends to interact.

Placement Experience:

The placement status of this college is also not good. As the average package of this college is 11 lakh per annum. The fees there is 16 lakh for the whole course , and we are not even close to the roi, as according to me it should be more than 15. The career guidance cell is also not working upon it they are just letting it go with the flow they are not doing anything.

here we can roam all over the campus in the night . library and classes are quite good
labs are quite good and equipments are offered to the students
meal is good enough as compare to other colleges

proper developments ar not there inside the campus.like fests
4 sharing rooms are provided which are uncomfortable
bathrooms are quite unhygenic here. it should be improved

Placement Experience:

from the seventh sem students are eligible for pppo and after graduation, they can continue their offline jobs or can work from home from hostels. around 70+ companies visit every year. the average package offered here is around 8 lpa. 20 % of students are placed. my plan after btech is to do a master's.

There are supportive seniors and faculties in campus which helps us in through out our life in campus
Course structure is good as every topic is covered required for the subject

Dislikes

Administration of college is bad it is stopping the institute to grow more because of it's some strict policy
Overall the vibe of college is missing it is more kind of boarding school with some independence
No sports ground for outdoor sports and less focus is given on sports and other extra curricular activities on sp

When compared with newly built iiit’s our college had good teachers infrastructure sufficient for 1200 people.
Few of the faculty members are really good. They try to be available any time possible and solve the doubts that you get
Campus life is good when you have that close group of friends with whom one can enjoy any moment so I’m blessed with good friends which is reducing the hate toward my college

Dislikes

Poor gender ratio is one thing which I (everyone) hate. Ratio is 12:1 in our campus.
Strict 85 percent attendance is another irritating factor. When you fall behind 85 percent you are given a backlog in that subject
Pre requisite is another thing which I hate. It is when you fail a particular subject then you are not allowed to take a subject in next semester which related to failed course

Placement Experience:

Students in 4th year are eligible for campus placements. Here our college does not have good placements and the companies that visit are also not that great. Students are often stressed about it because of poor management from the placement cell. Our college website says 90 percent of students are placed but reality says otherwise. I plan to go abroad just like every other Indian.
