The overview of IIIT Dharwad

The course curriculum was tough as usual, I chose this course because of my interest in Computer Science and I also got CSE when I applied through JOSSA counseling. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:20 approx. There are only 2-3 Professors and the remaining are assistant professors. All faculty are Ph.D. holders and trained. Internal exams are conducted four times (2 - quizzes, 1 midsem, 1- endsem) for each semester.

They provide internships according to the CV and cgpa of the student, many companies provide different such as web development, app development, and data analyst for some projects as well there are opportunities which is related to the fields of ECE, dsai, and CSE.

From the 7th semester, you are eligible for college placements. So many companies visited like Amazon, Infosys, etc., and made almost 50+ offers. The highest package is 35-40 lakhs, average is 7 lakhs. 70 -80 percent get placements.

The cost, of course, is so high and ROI is also not so good but the facilities are good. The college doesn't provide any scholarships, but state and central scholarships are available through NSP Portal.

The annual fest is organized in the month of March - April. There is also a small library available. Classrooms are well facilitated with ceiling fans(4) in each classroom and LCDs are available. One ground which is for football and cricket both and one volleyball ground is also available and there is a block called M-block which is especially for indoor games and basketball. There are so many clubs called Velocity, GDSC, etc.

4 single beds, 4 different study tables and chairs, and 4 separate almirahs. The Hostels are very expensive. No outside PG is allowed, we have to live in that hostel.

Basically to get admission into the first you have to pass JEE(Joint Entrance Exam) and get rank (AIR) under 50,000. The eligibility criteria are PCM in (10 +2) and a minimum of 75% marks in PCM subjects. You find the application form for the entrance exam on the JOSSA website. There is no reservation in IIITs.
