I personally have not taken any scholarship so I can not comment on that. But the fees structure here is very good as we have to pay the fees of each semester in two installments and it is also not much. In my course the yearly fees( including two semesters) is around 46000.

The fees is constant and not frequently increased. The arrear and Condonation fees increases but can be avoided by passing your exams and maintaining 75% attendance. The campus is eco friendly and extremely clean. Scholarships and student loans available.
From the academic year 2018-2019 onwards, the St. Xavier's College had increased the undergraduate quarterly fees from INR 5400 to INR 6450. The fees for the odd semester are comparatively higher than the even semester, especially for the first quarter into the semester when an additional INR 3000 is included. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the college authorities have decided not to hike the even semester fees for the time being, considering the economic diffculties of some underprivileged students. There are numerous scholarships available to the meritorious students, as well as for the underprivileged ones. Some of them are the Dr. Basudeb Banerjee Memorial Scholarship, Fr. Joris Memorial Scholarship and the R.F. De Souza Scholarship. The College is associated with Internshala, one of the top internship platforms in India. There is a Placement Cell, which recruits students for working in various top brands and companies, where many students get placed each and every year.
The total cost to study at this college may be around 1 lakh rupees. I did not receive any stipend for the BSc course and it does not offer any form of scholarship. The fees were not hiked at any point of time during my time in this college.
Here the total course fees are near about 65000. There are quarterly semester occurs here. Inspire scholarship is for the students those are secured 80% marks or above in the final semester. Overall the cost of the study is affordable.
The course fees for chemistry is 50,000 per year. 27, 500 is taken during the start of each year and the quarterly fee is 7,500. Semester exam fees are 1,500. Hostel fees is 7500 per month. The college is quite strict about late fees payment and deducts fine for it.
The course syllabus is updated. We have seperate skill based papers and also foundation classes for provide an all round growth. Most of the facilities out here have great prior research experience and some are still into research(notable mention: Dr. Sanjib Ganguly).
The college follows the CBCS curriculum and has the best faculty. The students do pretty well in academics and if we face any sort of problems, the teachers try their best to resolve them. The try their best to make us grasp the concepts.

The general preference is that none of the two colleges is a feasible option for pursuing B.Sc (Chemistry). The reasons behind this are listed separately below for both the colleges:
Both the colleges reflect quite a dismal picture for this particular course, but even if the choice has to be made it will shift towards Xavier’s Kolkata as in:
Overall, Xavier’s is a better option than Jadavpur University in every aspect.
