- I liked how students are involved in technical activities.
- I liked how the faculties are very interactive which we don't find common in other institutes.
Dislikes
- There are not much things to dislike about the college but the communication gap between north indian students and south indian students
- Mess menu is not properly designed but it is improving day by day
Internships Opportunities:
Various companies visit the campus for internship programs such as Zoho, Accenture, Capgemini, Maruti Suzuki, GenInniv, IIT Madras, etc. Students are recruited for the roles of Software Developers, AI engineers , Data Analyst, Product Manager etc

- I liked the infrastructure of our college.It is very good compared to most of the autonomous clgs
- Cultural events are way too good in the campus and they happen frequently

- The campus placements percentage is less and it needs to be more
Placement Experience:
The placements of the IIITDM kancheepuram have been dropped due to covid and has been recovering from since then,the placements rate has been dropped and even the average package has been decreased,from semester 5 students become eligible for placements,the percentage of students getting placed is 90%
Likes
- Campus is quite good. Laboratory complex is equipped with all kinds of labs required with good infrastructure. All the machinery is latest and works properly. Lab staff is friendly and learning environment in labs is great .
- Hostels are very good as compared to other government colleges. Nice infrastructure two boys hostel each of 14 floors and one girls hostel. Washing machines are available. 3 guest houses available for parents or family stay. Mess food is satisfactory
Dislikes
- Campus is a bit outside from city not so far but 30 minutes away.
Internships Opportunities:
Companies come for internships and placements both. while intrested students can also do internship in Madeit which is the incubation centre of the college. Many startups as re running inside it which provide internships as per their requirement to the students. 4climate a startup of Madeit offers stipend upto 15k/month. Many other companies also come .

- The infrastructure of the college is very good compared to other iiits.
- Seniors are kind of good mentors and guide us .
Dislikes
- College is little bit strict in case of hostel and college intimes
- There are less no of college fests and overall college life in terms of fun is little less.
Placement Experience:
From 6 semesters students become eligible for the placements. Companies like Mahindra, Ford, Amazon, and Qualcomm were the major companies that visited our campus. The highest package this year is around 46 lakhs and the average package is around 13 lakhs. The percentage of students that are getting placed is around 90 percent and the placement percentage is good despite of recession. After getting the degree I want to pursue my career in the information technology field because from the start my interest was computer science but due to my main marks I got mechanical.

- I liked the way lecturers utilize class hours to help students with their studies
- faculty help us choose our career and provide projects to include in our resume
Dislikes
- i really dont like the mess food then could really improve it
- coming to hostel we dont have proper security like if we leave our door for 20 min anything ma miss from our room
Placement Experience:
from 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements and internships mathworks, tata, cognigent, samsung, tcs etc and upto 50% of the students will get offers highest is 40 LPA and average is 12 LPA overall but i dont know exactly as i told before 50% are being placed i am trying to do mtech through gate

- Different Club's, sports activities are best in the college..one thing I dislike in iiiitdm is campus is very small is about 55 acres only.. placements are also not upto the mark I like infrastructure of the campus
- Placements needs to improved,I don't like mess food in the campus

- Some individuals might find the campus location inconvenient or isolated, especially if it's far from urban centers or lacks access to amenities.
- Complaints about inadequate or outdated facilities such as classrooms, laboratories, and recreational spaces might arise.
Internships Opportunities:
I'm actually not at the stage of explaining about internship opportunities in my college, because I'm studying in the 4th semester only.as per my knowledge 25 % of students are getting intern opportunities in various companies

- Infrastructure and other facilities of our college
- Laboratory facilities of our college are also good

- Our college curriculum is so hectic than other college
- Our administration is quite disappointing
Internships Opportunities:
It is mandatory for students to get internship in 3rd year. Students get decent internships. Currently our college is working on three projects. So we also offer internships to students from other colleges as well.
Likes
- i liked the atmosphere in the campus and the hostel life
- i liked the way the professors take class
Dislikes
- the unavailablity of the water between 11 and 5
- we cant wear shorts inside the academic block for classes
Internships Opportunities:
After the 4th semester, you will be given internship opportunity and you will get a chance to be placed at the specific company you can work on projects in your first year itself if you join a club you can go overseas for certain projects

- i love the green ennvironment around me and 2 persons in a room is akso ok
- as i am a telugu guy most of the people here are from ap and telangana it's good
Dislikes
- food sometimes is bad but we'll take pickles such kinda things to manage
- frequent power loss and ethernet loss so we cant use intenet
Internships Opportunities:
iiitdm kancheepuram placements 2023 concludede with a placement of 97% students 102 participating companies a total of 279 jobs offres were made to the 286 students and cse students and ece students got more placements compared tomechanical and sm so better to choose other college if u are interested insuch branches

- hostel rooms are very good spacious and high speed lan connections
- professors are very friendly are very cooperative
Dislikes
- mess food is not up to par no taste in the food sometimes
- time table is much more packed compared to other colleges
Internships Opportunities:
i personally not yet came to the internship stage as of now I am studying 4th. sem internships start from 6th sem i think some mediocre companies approach our college for internships and the stipends may be 20k per month or something like that

There is no official recognition that IIITDM Kancheepuram is a tier 1 college. However, IIITDM has been recognised as Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. Instead of IIITDM Kancheepuram, there are other institutes recognised as Tier 1 Institutes which are:
IIITDM is specialized in design and manufacturing courses as well as IT courses amongst the technical courses. However, if you’re more inclined towards research or placement opportunities, NITs are mostly better than IIITDM.
