I would just like to say that IHM Lucknow has one of the best faculties in hotel management in India.
The best names in the hotel industry take in students from IHM Mumbai for training.

Dislikes

Yes, the internship is provided by our college, but the process is really stringent and outdated.
There is very little storage space as the cupboards are very small, so we have to keep half of our stuff in suitcases.

College provides campus Placement all the top hotels brands come to college for recruiting students average package is about 250000 LPA And almost all the students get placed in placement i am thinking of doing MBA after the degree As it helps my future goals well

Placement Experience:

Campus placements arent like any other college.. students go through rigorous interviews to get placed into hotels for management trainess. These management trainess then work under all the departments of the hotel for over 18 months and then decide where they would work in that hotel. The mgmt trainee program also hels jumpstart careers helping students in the long run

The college is great as it goes lengths to make different resources available for the students just to teach them about those.
The college fest is a food fantasy, starting from the prep days till the last day of the fest.. Its a food heaven.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is a little old, but they are developing it
Exams can be a little difficult, but not as much

Placement Experience:

After the 4th semester the campus placements start. The companies like Taj(IHCL), OBEROIS, ITC, Accor, Radissons, Sofitel, hyatt, Hilton, Marriott international, rtz carlton have interviews for the management trainee in the college even fast food chains like Macdonalds and domino's approach the college for the same. My plans after my degree are to get management trainee or get an opportunity to work in an international hotel so as to move abroad

Good faculty and teaching system. Guide us every time we need.
Celebrates most of the cultural events traditionally.

Dislikes

Fees has been increased from 2023 batch of first year.
The gate closes at 9 am so after that you cannot enter the college except the lunch time.

Placement Experience:

I have completed my second year for now going to start third year very soon the placement interview take place in 3rd year so asking to the senior I got to know that various hotels like Taj hotel, Oberoi hotel, trident hotel and various companies like Starbuck, McDonald's, etc comes for the campus interview. Doing this degree leads to various opportunity including airline cruise hotel and even out of country job opportunities.

Good Infrastructure. Professors had good hospitality knowledge. Regular Teaching to pass your exams with enough study material. Placements drive were great. Course fee was reasonable and decent. Positive atmosphere. Regular inputs to become good.

Dislikes

College used to take money if attendance criteria was not fulfilled. Used to take big donations 1k for 1percent. Hostels werent provided to all. Mess food wasnt that great. Similar students were selected again and again in the placement drive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Trying to become a good hospitality professional was the ultimate target. Every college encourages students to go for industrial training which makes us ready. I believe the theory subject's should be taught in a more professional manner to make it interesting. There were six semester's in total. 2 semester's in each year.

IHM Mumbai has one of the best faculty compared to any other catering colleges. All the professors are very friendly and go extra mile to help the students
Senior IHM Mumbai has best senior. There are no case of ranging in last five years. Seniors and juniors share a very deep bond and are alike family

Dislikes

Principal is a drug addict and take all the decisions when he is high. He ensures to make happy college life into living hell and he enjoys this
Attendance , it is mandatory to maintain 75 percent attendance and if not you will not be permitted to appear for exam . Even if you have valid reason for less attendance you won't be permitted

Placement Experience:

Cam pus place ment ihn IHM Mumbai is very great 90 percent of people get placed through campus placement with a salary range of 2.4- 3.5 lakhs per annum. I know this is very small salary but growth in this industry is very high

The faculty here is excellent and always cooperative towards any query raised by the students
The food production lab in college is quite big and the products made here is very good and the plating looks like 5 star restaurants

Dislikes

The college infrastructure us really old and they are not updating inspite of the students being here in so much
The college dosent have air conditioned room so its really difficult for continuing class

Placement Experience:

The students will have the option of many interviews like around 300-400 comming in around to scout students from ihm mumbai and you the interviews typically starts from 5th sem and you get your job before your exams. One can also opt for oberio ocld from nariman point Mumbai which is a great place for innovating yourself and turn in to a master of the industry if you have passion the package you can start around in 5 to 6 lakhs per annum to 2-3 lakhs per annum and around 10 lakhs to 8 lakhs in outside the industry. My future plans is to do masters form Mumbai and as i am from Maharashtra it really convients and the mingrate to forieng.

Great and experienced faculty for teaching and explaining every expect of the industry
Practical are taken very seriously in order to train us for the industry

Dislikes

The infrastructure of the college is not up-to-date and the class room seats are not that much its very over populated
There are hardly 3 classrooms with AC for students and its really difficult after kitchen classes

Placement Experience:

As i have not been enrolled in to any placements or internships though what i have heard from my seniors that almost everyone is getting placed in some or the companies so they placement rate is very high which is around 90% that is one of the best in whole india and we can easily say this is the best IHM. The companies like TAJ , Oberoi and marriot most takes part in the interviews and the package they provide is moderate which takes height after 2-3 years the package is around 2.5 lakhs to 3.5 lakhs which increase if one opt for outside the hotel industry is around 5-6 lakhs per annum . My plan is to do MSC from mumbai and be executive chef in future.
