The college infrastructure is not good it should be improved. All staffs coordinate during the admission process. The faculties are really very good. They treat us as our own children. The faculties over here are good but there is some lack of wifi connection overall it's good. And yes infrastructure should be improved.
Bsc Hospitality and tourism studies is a professional course which has the duration 3 years and follows semester system. The course structure focuses on both hospitality and tourism in an efficient way. The days are full of opportunities and exams are organized in an well environment.
B.Sc Hospitality Studies is a detailed course that provides the students to understand the different departments that any hotel has and helps them understand how each department manages their works and also explaining how the communication process is done. Most importantly the information technology is explained to the students as the there is a regular upgradation of technologies. The exam is mostly objective oriented question and case studies.
B.Sc Hospitality Studies helped us understand the workings of different departments of an hotel and how each department manages their works. Further how communication is to be done, was explained through role playing activities which helped us gain more knowledge. Also the technologies and its impact towards the development of hotel industry was explained and exams were mostly objective type which enabled us to get into it and answer,
As it is a six months course and the subject included in the course are both theoretical and practical. The subjects are Bakery and confectionery in theory Bakery and confectionery in practical hygiene and sanitization commodities costing and accounts. The students who are having great interest in bakery used to to pursue this course.
The exams are taken annually. The subjects in the curriculum are basic food production and pastry basic food and beverage service environmental studies value addition advance food production practical specialised food and service practical. After 2 years the student has given choices to choose the specialisation.
The course is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. This makes the course curriculum more reliable. There are revisions that are made in the curriculum as required and the demands of the course in the market. The final semester of the course is especially dedicated to the practical field knowledge.
The course offers both practical and theoretical knowledge. The three-year course combines a lot of subjects which results in a better understanding of the course. There is a six months training program which is included in the course which results in industrial exposure for the students.
The course curriculum is defined as such in order to help us gain industrial exposure and run parallel with the current technological advancements in the field of hospitality. We study about accommodation, food production, etc.
We are made to study Food Production and Patisserie, Room Division Management, Food, and Beverage Service, House Keeping, Food Safety and Nutrition, Principles of Management, Principles of Hotel Accountancy, and many other concepts.
