- Burdwan University has released the Phase 2 Counselling & Admission Schedule for PG courses under Arts Faculty. Online Counselling for candidates shortlisted in the Broad Merit List will be held from Nov 18 to Nov 22 and from Nov 25 to Nov 26, 2024 through Google Meet. Further, candidates who will be provisionally selected after online counselling must deposit the admission fees online from Nov 26 to Nov 30, followed by document verification of such candidates from Dec 2 to Dec 4, 2024. - Registration cum Enrollment process is open for students admitted to 1st semester UG (3 year or 4 year Hons), 5-year Integrated LLB, and 1-year Professional courses like DVA & B.P.Ed from Oct 25 to Nov 17, 2024. Maharajadhiraj Uday Chand Women’s College (MUCWC) was established to academically and culturally enlighten and empower women of the region as per belief that socio-economic development ideas cannot be achieved without ensuring the participation of women, cutting across social barriers as well. The college believes that the women should be supplemented with techno-vocational education enabling them to play their roles better individually and collectively as well. They follow the principle to go from knowledge to wisdom and from perception to application because changing the way to educate a woman will eventually change the society at large and will complete and integrate the society too and will enhance their participation the production and regeneration process enabling a progressive society and a developed nation. MUCWC feels the education should be specific, liberal and dynamic where the students should be let free to experiment with the novel and unorthodox.

Why to Join MUCWC?
Teaching Methodology:- A number of teaching innovations like GD’s on budget, debates, quizzes on history, mock-parliament scene enactment enhance student’s involvement in the learning process.
Periodical Quality Assurance tests:- The students are made to clear quarterly tests on the basis of performance of which they are allowed in university examination. Again they are made to fill pro-forma for teacher feedback form and exit questionnaire.
Seminars and workshops:- The college holds stimulating and as per current hot topics seminars and workshops for students.
Scholarships and subsidies: - Free studentship to economically week students/ candidates is provided on merit and attendance basis. The other forms of scholarships are for SC/ST stipends, stipend from endowment fund, and for Muslim scholar’s stipend.

Our admission was held by form fill up and it based on HS persentage, but there were no cut off, but the seat was limited. At first I filled the form and wait for merit list then my name announced in second merit list and I got chance in Bengali honours in MUCWC.

After passing HS board exam with minimum 60 percent marks I applied for this course through online . I am from the catagory unreserved. I want that the college conduct an entrance exam to get admission in this college.

Admission:
First of all, we had to apply for the admission through online. We had to go to the College's official website and then apply. After that, the college authority published their merit list. They publish upto 3 merit lists. My name was published in the 3rd merit list. And then, after getting selected. We had to pay the Admission fees through UPI. Then, we got a notice regarding the document verification. We had to come to the college in person to verify our documents. And therefore, when our documents were successfully verified, we were admitted as the College's fresh students.
Admission:
Yes, I applied to MUC Women's College. This college is a really good, low-cost hotel good. The study is well and the library is awesome. There are Kanyashree and also OBC Kota and recently student credit cards are also available. There is no complex about any admission. You can easily admit it after paying your admission fees. The admission fees are low and as well as science commerce is also. In the Geography field, you have to go survey. This is really outstanding. Minimum number is required above 80-85% of all subjects. If you get 95% so you get easily. 1 day will counsel then you admit. Overall it's a good college for girls. No ragging No political issue. Good nature for Study. The best subject for studies here is English, as well as Math, Chemistry, Biology, Nutrition, Physics, Computer Science, Bengali, Sanskrit, Philosophy. You also persue M.A English in this college.
Admission:
Besides MUC Women's college, I applied to Burdwan Raj College, Vivekananda College in Burdwan town itself. I chose MUCWC because it was well reputed for its faculty, administration, and regularity of the classes. I did not have any quota but the college grants quotas for minorities and physically challenged. In 2020, the admission procedure was in online mode so there wasn't much difficulty. The minimum marks were quite low but you have to wait until the publication of the 4th or 5th list if you scored near about 60%. But if you scored 90% and above, you'll get admission within the first or second list depending upon the cut-off that year. As I already mentioned, the admission procedure was easy in online mode and the fees are also low so you can get admitted pretty easily.

All the rules and regulations are been maintained by every teachers and their strictness are really been needed. Educational system is very carefully constructed.

We were honoured to get those kind of faculty, they loved us very much, so much fun and mischief done by us besides studies.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Ba economics hons is a graduation course which has the duration of 3 years. It has semester system and the syllabus is very organized and is updated regularly. The days are generally chilled. However, the exams are a little tiring.
Admission:
Overall, my college life experience was very much good the principal and college staff was good, college Library was very big and resourceful the college management was very much interactive too.
