- Burdwan University has released the Phase 2 Counselling & Admission Schedule for PG courses under Arts Faculty. Online Counselling for candidates shortlisted in the Broad Merit List will be held from Nov 18 to Nov 22 and from Nov 25 to Nov 26, 2024 through Google Meet. Further, candidates who will be provisionally selected after online counselling must deposit the admission fees online from Nov 26 to Nov 30, followed by document verification of such candidates from Dec 2 to Dec 4, 2024. - Registration cum Enrollment process is open for students admitted to 1st semester UG (3 year or 4 year Hons), 5-year Integrated LLB, and 1-year Professional courses like DVA & B.P.Ed from Oct 25 to Nov 17, 2024. Suri Vidyasagar College was established in 1942. It is a government affiliated college located at Suri in the Birbhum district of West Bengal. It is affiliated to University of Burdwan. At present, the college is accredited by NAAC with a CGPA of 2.77 on a seven point scale at B++ grade which is valid upto December 01, 2021.
The college provides undergraduate level Hons. and General programs in 19 different specializations including English, Bengali, Sanskrit, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Physiology, Microbiology, Accountancy, Mass Communication, Geography and Arabic. It also provides M.Sc. SVC Admission
- The application mode is online and the selection is based on merit.
- The admission for UG / PG is held through online submission of student’s data and the whole process is conducted by the University of Burdwan. Minimum marks required for Hons subjects is 45 % in class 12 and for PG is 50% in graduation
- Reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC A OBC B and Physically Challenged candidates will be accordance to the existing rules of the Government of West Bengal. A Certificate from the competent authority must be produced during counselling for claiming such reservation. No application will be allowed to take advantage of more than one quota of reservation. Candidates having SC / ST / OBC / OBC B certificate issued by the states other than West Bengal will be treated as General category for Admission
- The Merit List of valid applicants will be published website of college on date as per the published admission scheduled; the Merit list lists will be prepared in the descending order of merit index. In Case of a tie, precedence will be given to higher subject marks, wherever applicable.

The application will be considered invalid without payment of application fee (including bank Transaction Charge) to The offline (Bank Challan) Bank of account of College either Online (through Debit & Credit Card) or offline (Bank Challan).
SVC Facilities
The college provides the students with many facilities such as:
Hostel - The college has a boys hostel (60 seats) named ‘RabindraChatrabas’ at the north-eastern corner of the campus behind the pond ‘Nilakshi’ and the noted banyan tree. A Newly Constructed Girls Hostel, ‘MrinaliniChatriNibas’(42 seats), within the campus (Under UGC X plan) has been started from the academic session 2008-09. Due to high demand of the girls hostel, the College from the XI UGC Plan, allocated considerable fund and the 2nd floor of the hostel is currently under construction. It will in all probability be opened from the next session. Sick Room facility and Reading Room facility will be available in the girls hostel from next session onwards.
Library – It has a seating capacity of 50 and consists of more than 44,000 books. It provides the students with a large bank of knowledge that they can access.
Classrooms – The institute consists of 36+3 classrooms and more tutorial rooms to provide best education to the students.
Labs – The college consists of 28+3 laboratories which provide the students with practical knowledge.
Gymnasium – The college has a fully equipped gymnasium with various kinds of machines.
Sports Facilities – A variety of sports facilities are provided inside the college so that students remain fit and focus on their health. Sports fests are also organized.

- I liked the college campuses extracurricular activities and cultural programs.

- I didn't like the Canteen facility, the food quality was very poor but price was high.

Admission:
The admission process was smooth. 1st need to apply online. after that based on the marks, there is a merit list. After getting the merit list we have to pay application fees. After that college verification. Eligibility: Its's depends on the merit list. The sitting capacity was 97 on my time in 2019. Application details: All the application details like the Application form, Application fees, and application dates everything were available on the website. Exam: The frequency and timing was decided by the university. It was not that good. The exam difficulty level was high. Improvement area: The process should be more secure and website should be fast.

After passing the examination of class 12, one has to fill up form for admission in college. After a few days after appearing in the merit list, admission has to be done by paying the fee within 24 hours.

After the result of 12th, the form has to be filled for admission. After some days the merit list comes out then the name is published in the merit list then you have to pay the fee within 24 hours to take admission, many such lists are published till the seat is filled, 24 lists are published in my year of admission.

Eligibility for the course is 12 passes in the science stream I found this application form on an online website and the application fee is 500 taka no needed reservations or benefits yes the admission process is very well.

The eligibility was an H.S. pass. I have found the application form on the website of the said college. Application fees were Rs.500 for general candidates. The application date was just 1.5 months after the declaration of the HS result.

This is a good college without any doubt. In this college admission process is too simple to just go to the college website and fill-up the form. Anyone can apply for admission (boys and girls). Too many subject combination is available like BSc, BCom, BA, Journalism, etc. This college contains two big playgrounds, three restrooms, one gym, one canteen, two hostels, a cycle stand and also an anti-ragging group, etc. I study at this college for around three years and I learn a lot of things. This college, College provides free NCC and NSS classes. This college is B++ and also this is a government college with a minimum tutor fee of 300 rs per year. Three water purifiers for students. Our college's principle is too helpful for students.
