I chose Political Science because I have a personal inclination towards the subject and getting to study my dream subject from one of the top colleges was a blessing indeed. There's a quite moderate faculty: student ratio ( 30:1). All the professors are PhD holders from reputed universities from all around India and have more than 10+ years in teaching. We have our semester exam twice a year and if you study consistently all throughout the year you won't find it difficult to hold a good SGPA.
Exams were held according to the Calcutta University schedule once in 6 months and according to the syllabus of CBS cu. If one studies well it is possible to score good marks. I choose BA eng Hons as I liked the subject English and I knew I could pursue graduation in this very well. The faculty members are great and clear doubts by taking extra classes and teach also very well. Highly qualified professors have done Ph.D. and some also have a doctorate. As there are fewer students in a class around 25 so interaction is possible very well.
Teaching quality is really unique and satisfactory. Best faculty. Academic courses are mostly there so, job ready perspective is not satisfied. Yes, curriculam is updated and includes all the recent developments.
The classes are arranged in a very systematic way so that the students can cope up with the daily studies. Although, in reference to the present situation, online classes are being held and the teachers are also very much cooperative in their ways. After the class ends, we are also asked about our queries. But in case of pass subject (GE) the teachers once forgot taking the exam. Other than that, everything is very well planned.
All faculties are quite good according to me. But i think science departments are the best compared to arts because it provides very big labs and good instruments for conducting various experiments. Arts department teachers are really very talented they not only refer good books but also provide the best study materials for us, which helped me a lot.
The teachers are highly educated, and they have good knowledge of the subject they teach. They are very helpful. They always encourage us. They provide proper education and knowledge. All the teachers have completed their PhDs. They are very enthusiastic, and they encourage the students to participate in all activities.
The fee structure is extremely feasible. The fees for my program is Rs. 12000 per annum. Cash payments are accepted only. Other than the admission fee of Rs. 3000 approximately no additional fee is needed to be paid to secure admission. The college does provide transperancy in fees breakdown. They provide a receipt for the same after acceptance of fees.
Fees structure is very feasible. Fees are very low. Fees are taken annually and it's like nothing. Anyone can afford this fees.
It was highly subsidized and really cheap. I think the fees were about Rs.1200 a year. Admission fees were likewise very less. I didn't stay in the college hostel but I remember that being very cheap too. It is highly subsidized by the Department of Education.
Course Curriculum is designed by Calcutta University as the college is affiliated under Calcutta University.
