Kanta Banerjee's Review On Lady Brabourne College - [LBC], Kolkata

Remarks :

I had chosen it because it is a female college. The fest was held once a year and so was the sports fest. Debates and quiz were a regular phenomenon. The college organises sports events and fest once a year.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The teachers are highly educated, and they have good knowledge of the subject they teach. They are very helpful. They always encourage us. They provide proper education and knowledge. All the teachers have completed their PhDs. They are very enthusiastic, and they encourage the students to participate in all activities.

Placement Experience :

There are no placements in our college. Higher education is only promoted in our college. No companies visit the campus. The placements are not offered to any department. Teachers encourage us only to go for higher education.

College Events :

The campus is huge. Classrooms are very big. We have everything available in our college. We have Wi-Fi, laboratories, auditorium, medical facilities, and stationery. The playground is large. We have a very big common room, which has all the gym equipment.

Campus Life :

The infrastructure is good. The campus is huge. There is a very big playground. The college provides facilities like Wi-Fi, library, laboratories and medical facilities. We have a very well decorated common room. There is a gym on the campus. There is also a table tennis table.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are government aided co curriculums which are not very useful or good because the classes get cancelled half of the time. I did not get to have any clasees and the computers and machines are all outdated.

Firstly, the campus not only provides us with the opportunity to get offers from India but also from abroad, we were able to start taking internships from 2nd year onwards but I started working from 1st year and it gave me practical based experience and knowledge and a lot to learn.

Placement Experience:

Students are offered placements in the final year of their course mainly. There are internships that can be taken through the course years. However, our batch wasn't given any internship/placement opportunity. After getting the degreez I pursued my master's in english from Shri Shikshayatan college in Kolkata under the University of Calcutta

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after/during the 3rd year or 5th sem. More than 200 companies offer jobs every year to students. the highest package is 40 kpm and the average is 30k pm. 60% of the students get placements. I plan on attaining a masters degree on the same after graduation.
