Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College for Women was established in 1955 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and is affiliated to University of Madras.

- Students should have passed Higher Secondary or Equivalent examination from a recognized board

JBAS Chennai UG Selection Criteria
The list of selected Candidates for admission to the various courses will be displayed on the College Notice Board and also on the College website.
- Apart from this all selected candidates will be intimated by SMS
- The selected Candidates List will specify the date of interview and provisional admission for the candidates.
- The institute will not entertain any request for the change in the date of interview.
- Selected students are required to present themselves personally on the date of the interview specified along with the printout of the Application if submitted Online along with the following documents:
- Mark Sheets for the plus Two (Std.XII) Examination.
- Transfer Certificate
- Conduct Certificate
- Community Certificate, wherever applicable
