This course is more of practical exposure as compared to other PGDM/ MBA courses. I personally felt I have learnt more about how actually a problem should be approached and what approach should be taken to soove it from a business point of view. This course has included many projects based submissions than theory papers. As of now I dont feel any improvement as such but industry visits can also me made a frequent activity so that more practical exposure is ensured. There is a trisemester pattern for the exams that is followed, it is a bit hectic but then you got to get along it.

Our program is very amazing. It not only teaches us theory but also helps us to understand its application practically and into current market conditions. Understanding customer experiences and then making appropriate changes according to the feedback and making a customer-centric product through live feedback helps us to develop. I myself have learnt too many skills and softwares which help me to think differently and apply them at various problems to generate and ideate a solution

I am a PGDM - Business Design student, I opted this course as I was interested in entrepreneurial side, I was interested in the subjects offered in this course. We have good faculty and they are always willing to help you improve, you can approach them and take their guidance as and when you need. You get to learn all about upcoming new things, trends and technology in the industry. We have faculty mentors to prepare us better. We have an experienced faculty that believes in shared learning, different faculties have different teaching method some prefer discussion based learning, some prefer to teach through activities. Term exams are in every 3 Months and if you have been focussed in class and studied well you will be able to write you paper well.
Chose Business Design(BD) as it's like a general management course, I am interested in design thinking and am more of a creative person so it was a perfect choice for me. There is the choice of major subjects in the second year, it includes consulting, analytics, finance, marketing, operation, human resource. There are good faculties in BD like Kaustubh and Dr G for innovation and operations respectively, professors are good and approachable and most of the faculties are PhD holders. Most of the professors believe in learning throughout the whole semester actively in form of projects and assignments and applying the concepts on the same, just not from an exam perspective. There are ample and good techniques/theories that are taught. As our exams were MCQ, it wasn't difficult to pass but yeah there were tricky questions.
The course is a general management course for management students faculty: student ratio is good. 60 students in one class though it was online Most faculties are Phd trimester system every year for two years
I found Business Design (BD) as a complete package that would give me a taste of all domains - finance, marketing, designing, operations, business planning, etc since I wasn't sure of any vertical. I got selected for BD course from Welingkar (did not crack core PGDM) but also had offers from N.L Dalmia for finance. Since I wasn't sure if I could continue with the finance vertical for rest of my life, I chose to play safe by choosing a general management course (BD). Its been a year now I'm pursuing my BD course, I can say with 100% that I do not regret my decision. BD is blessed to have two gems namely Shrinivas (popularly known as Dr. G) - a genius in operations holds a PhD in Kaizen (only degree in the world) and Kaustubh Dhargalkar (Jamnalal alumni)- a business genius. My batch (BD) has a male to female ratio of (1:2) while wrt experience my batch composition is 30% - work-ex 3yrs & above; 30% below 3yrs; 40% freshers). Exams were conducted timely and without much glitches.
The course is designed very well like business design is a customer-centric approach to solve any business-related problems. The faculty is really supportive at each stage of your journey of MBA. Exams happen every 4 months which is based on the whole curriculum and marks depend on the student's preparation.
The courses offered are great and some of the courses are very exclusive. Other than the Core marketing, operations, and finance, the college also offers courses related to business design, retail management, healthcare management, media, and entertainment sector, and many more.
This course is unique and one of its kind in India. Only few B-schools have this. Business Design equipped you with techniques that can be applied to any specialization of management. This time unfortunately the classes were virtual but it didn't affect the enthusiasm of students as well as teachers. Both interacted with each other very well. Faculty is well qualified and have a great knowledge about their field. They provide very deep insights about the design process and the group assignments they gave provide opportunity for students to apply them to real life situations. Exams were held timely and properly. With proper learning and effort one can score well.
Extremely easy exams every two months. They weren't difficult to pass. You really have to try hard to fail in MBA. The faculty is great. Opportunities are endless. Extremely qualified and experienced faculty. Business Design is an upcoming and important field with various MNCs applying design thinking principles in their operations.
