Annual fest and various interesting events keeps on happenig in our college campus .the students enjoy it a lot .sports and extra curriculam activity are much supported by the college authority .campus facility and environment is good and supportive
I liked the college faculty, campus and teachers and their teaching methods.
The course was nice and the faculty is great i also took private tuition from one of them.

Dislikes

The washroom should be renovated immediately its the biggest problem in this college
The canteen facility is poor. most of the days either they are full during the break or the food run out due to shortagee
There is nothing much i disliked, but our classes are conducted on the 4th floor so it's quite difficult for many students.

Review of Heramba Chandra College, Kolkata

Likes

1) Modern classrooms. Teachers use smartboard for the classes. Where we can learn with the help of presentations as well as normal board work. 2) The professors are very cooperative & helpful 3) We have a free WIFI, Clean washroom & water machines.
4)We have a good, neat and clean canteen with affordable foods. 5) we have a library with good collections. 2 libraries one central library & one seminar library. More or less equal number of boys & girls.
The college has good networking with companies, frequent company visits, better placements as compared to other general degree course colleges in Kolkata, minimal placement, skill development, provides internships

Dislikes

1) Excessive state government Holidays (not the fault of college though)

Placement Experience:

I'm not sure but I think from 3rd year we will be eligible for placements. There are many finance companies, banks like HDFC, SBI, Canara,etc... & companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Deloitte, PWC,etc.... The highest package last year was like 9.64 LPA & in the year before it was 10 LPA while the average is around 2-2.5 LPA. Around 20% of the total strength gets placement. Even only few % of the total strength applies for the placements. My plan is to take a placement if I can or if not then off campusing and then gather work experience & do MBA later which will give me very benifits.
