Madras School of Social Work offers the BSW and B.Sc. courses at the UG level. Applications to the Bachelor in Social Work (BSW) and B.Sc. courses are accepted from candidates who have passed 10+2 from any stream. Admission:

I didnt applied for other colleges because MSSW is a well known brand for its course in Human resource management, along with this they provide good number of placements and networking opportunities The admission procedures are like initially you have to complete the aptitide test ,from that students will be filtered for interview and finally filtering with over all marks and academics along with these scores

Likes

Quality of education was stellar compared to other colleges.
On campus therapist and counsellor. Very useful and it's pro bono as well.

Dislikes

Opportunities are hard to find because they are not openly presented. You will have to dig for them and make alot of connections to acquire them.
Campus size is quite small. It's very minute. While it can appear cozy, you get sick of it pretty soon.

Admission:

Applied to PSG, WCC and MOP Vaishnav. Went here because despite me getting accepted into them, I heard really amazing things about MSSW. I felt their atmosphere was much better for overall holistic growth. Admission was easy, all the processes were online. I got in with the third list. And I was pretty happy about it. For OC, cut off was 90 i believe.

Psychology dept at MSSW is very open-minded and a well knit group of people, including all the three year students.
The course covers different aspects of psychology which are important for selection of specialisation at the pg level.

Dislikes

Administration is generally lagging, information regarding cancellation of classes/holiday is very end minute.
A few faculty members don't take classes regularly

Admission:

Very easy application process, all online(atleast for batch 2021-2024) as we were the COVID batch. The application form can be found on the MSSW Website and I suppose 250-500 rs was the application fee.

Overall course, faculties and facilities.
Very pleasant ambience and college atmosphere.

Dislikes

Library can be expanded with more books.
Canteen can be expanded and more items can be added.

Admission:

Eligiblity-Minimum percentage of 70 in 10th,12th, and bachelor's. Application forms can be downloaded online from the MSSW website. Application fees and deadlines for each academic year will be available on the website itself.

Admission in our college was fully based on merit. After qualifying my higher secondary examination with 75 percent of marks, i took admission in this course. The minimum requirement for getting admission was to qualify 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination form a recognised board conducted by the University of Madras.
