Average placement is around 12.5 lac. Advisable to view college's website and also highest was 25 lac around this year. Placmenets are decent and can get campus placements in here Many reputed companies do visit for placemnets

Student interaction is positive yet competitive. Students come from various academic and social and cultural backgrounds and it is a rich learning experience.

Dislikes

Weather is unavoidably bad especially during summers
Lags in communication from hostel authorities regarding maintenance and power cuts

Placement Experience:

College placements are conducted through Placement committee which is a faculty led, student run body of KJ Somaiya. Placements for internships as well as jobs are given through college. Each company shortlists candidates based on their CVs and the requirements of the job description. It is not necessary that people with job experience may get shortlisted as it depends on requirements of the companies from potential candidates. Companies such as Gartner, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, HSBC, Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, Cisco, etc visit for placements. The number of students selected may vary as per student performance and company requirements. Some companies such as ICICI, HDFC, TCS etc are mass recruiters while some select as few as 2/3 candidates. Average internship package is Rs 30,000 per month and for final placements it is 12-14LPA. 75 - 80% students get placed. Students can opt out of placement process if they get an offer externally. Placements begin from First trimester itself

The diversity that the institute claims is for real, and there is a fair ratio of students as well as faculties coming from different regions of the country and outside. Various inclusion and interactions take place to encourage diversity
There is no compromise in terms of the education being given to the students. Case study based teaching approach is what sets the institute apart and gives students an exposure to different business scenarios and its understanding.

Dislikes

There is still a way to improve the infrastructure of the institute. It may include common study spaces in the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

K J Somaiya was my best shot given the qualifying exam and its score. The curriculum allows students to gain practical learning along with interactive classroom learning. The faculty is experienced and some are industry professionals who share their experiences making the curriculum more interactive. The curriculum also includes regular case study discussions and simulations among other interactive learnings. The curriculum is designed such that in the first year, a student is required to gain an understanding of all management subjects and later in the second year he can choose his specialization and get a deeper understanding of the same. The second-year specializations offered by the college are Finance, Marketing, HR, Operations, and Data Science. This helps the student in being prepared for the role he will be choosing and applying his learning into real-life scenarios. The course has a trimester where three semesters are conducted each year with exams that test subject understanding.

Campus life is very happening, people gather around almost every day. This is one of the biggest campus in mumbai
Railway station is 7 min walk so it's easy to travel

Dislikes

Canteen food can improve more. There is only veg food.
Library should be be open 24hrs for students. It's closed by 9pm

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for summer placement August ok onwards, healthcare management has SIP along with core MBA people with average placement of 12.5 lacs and highest for the year being 16 lacs. Some of the companies visinting are Deloitte, Tata communications, etc. There is 100% placement here so everyone gets a chance to present themselves

Specialized courses for students like healthcare management or sports management
The hostel has all the facilities for students living far away from home

Dislikes

The placement is decent and not upto mark
The mess food is pretty bland and there is no non veg service

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent. Students are provided opportunities to sit for summer placements in the first year and final placements in the second year based on your specialisation. The average package of our college is around 12 lpa.

Things I like its near to 2 stations Vidyavihar, LTT and Ghatkopar station. Its close to Ghatkopar metro station as well so students can travel easily.
Campus life has different activities, fests, competitions that engage students.

Dislikes

The canteen food is not that great. There should be locker arrangements for day scholars.

Placement Experience:

The average package of the college is 1235000. There are various companies that visit the campus such as ITC, Cadila Pharmaceuticals, J. P. Morgan, ICICI, Mamaearth, GEP, Marsh. For summer internships students become eligible to apply post 1st trimetser and for the final placements students are eligble during the start of teh second year. The average package per company ranges around 1100000. Roles offered are Management trainee, Area Sales Executive, Area Sales Manager. Around 95% of the batch gets placed. I would like to work in a pharmaceutical company and in Marketing domain.

The canteen is moderate, not really good
The area ghatkopar where college is located is not rally happening

Placement Experience:

There is above 95% placement records, placements are great and highest offered was 28 lakhs per annum. companies like mercedes, hdfc, icici, jp morgan , morgan stanely, golman sachs visit the campus. there are best opportunities for marketing and finance.

Campus atmosphere is lush green at the heart of Mumbai.
Infrastructure is world-class with excellent sporting facilities.

Dislikes

Library gets closed in the evening. Library working hours can be enhanced.
KJSIM can provide hard copy of all course books to it's students.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for campus placements from the 4th trimester. A total of 150 companies visited the campus. And the details are available with the placement committee at KJSIM. Highest package= 26.5 LPA and the average package=12.3 LPA 100 per cent of the students get placed. To get a campus placement and participate in India's growth story.

College Campus is beautiful and they have number of sports game to play.
Faculties are highly educated and they teach very well.

Dislikes

College hostel must have coolers or AC because there is humid in Mumbai.
College don't have swimming pool and I love to swim. But good part is that they have started building the swimming pool.

Placement Experience:

You can get an Internship offer from August month of 1st year. More than 170 companies come to the campus. Companies visited on the campus are Bain&co., Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, ICICI Bank, TATA, Gartner, and many more. The highest Package of 2023 is 26,00,000 and Average Package is 12,32,000 which I heard from my seniors. Around 99% of the students get placed. I planned nothing yet about what I will do after getting the degree.

Campus life is amazing , it has got all the amenities.
Plethora of extracurricular activities that includes sports, music , dance etc

Dislikes

Hostel fees is little on the higher side and I think AC should have been provided in the present fees. Rest is all good

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements after 4th trimester. A total of 150 companies visited this campus last year with highest being 26.5 lakhs and the average being 12.32 as per the seniors. 100 per cent of the batch is placed. My plan is to work in corporate for 5 years and then start my entrepreneurial journey.
